Great place to overlook the Miraflores locks and if your timing is right you can watch ships transit the locks. The imax movie is interesting and describes some of history and construction.

The tickets are confusing: you need separate tickets for both the movie ($7 ) and the viewing gallery ($10). (Note, these are foreigner prices, locals pay less.) To enter you must buy the viewing gallery ticket... the imax movie is optional, but worth it. You can't see the imax and then return to enter the viewing gallery

Important to make sure ships are transiting the locks when you visit... otherwise it's not really worth it. Check the schedules. When we went in the morning the person at the desk was helpful in letting us know to returns around 1:30 pm.

There is ample free parking in front of the building. It's not worth taking a tourist tour if you are staying downtown.... just take a cab or Uber.

All of the exhibits are closed... there is only the locks to look at.

If you are doing an afternoon stop over and want to experience the canal would recommend cabbing/ubering from the airport.

Came here for about three hours to spend time in an air conditioned space during a hot Saturday afternoon. It’s $20 for non-residents and a student discount is offered if you have ID. Credit cards and cash accepted. They do allow backpacks and drinks inside. Bathrooms are located on the first level and were very clean. The exhibits went very in-depth into the history of the canal and there was another exhibit about the biodiversity on one of Panama’s islands and another on Panamanian history. There were some English descriptions but it was mainly in Spanish. It was an interesting space to be in and you learn a lot about history while you’re there. No need to buy tickets ahead of time; there was no line and the process of going through a brief security check and buying the tickets was smooth.

Excellent biodiversity museum, very interactive for kids, they loved it. Loved the fish tanks and the explanation of how Panama came to be

Very classy mall. Uber here it's very cheap. Has high-end stores, department stores and stylish ones for men and women along with lovely restaurants. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Looking forward to coming back here again.

We visited this mall a couple of times as we used public transportation and the station is right across the street.
Had a couple lunches in the food court. Service wasn't great but food okay.
Went into numerous shops and the grocery store as well.
It's cool/air conditioned, clean and modern. Toilets cost to use.
It was very busy the times we were there.

Nice stop in the old city. The Golden covered wall is certainly unique. The back room has a MASSIVE nativity scene that is cool.

As part of our land tour of 14, this was one stop. This is a beautiful church worthy of seeing if you have time. Beautiful architecture as are many other buildings in Panama.

Although a rather small museum it is well worth stopping by. The cultural history of the Molas and the indigenous peoples of Panama is fascinating. It's nice how they have worked in the history. The guides were super knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions in English. The English language signage is very good and all the exhibits are informative. FYI, museum closes at 4:30 during the week, 5Pm on weekends... some guidebooks have it as 5:00 all the time.

If you are interested in history, it's worth a trip. other than the cathedral tower it is a large area full of ruins. It was a moderate size town with 7 convents that all appeared large. The Museum is interesting, but mainly a reading one rather than one of many items. on display. It takes a while to get there (30 mins from Casco Antiqua) but only costs around $5 on Uber.

Beautiful church in the heart of Casco. Air conditioned and even if you are not a church person beautiful old interior. This is behind the American Trade hotel in the main square.

YES YES YES!!!!!! This is how you do public transportation. Super clean, trains come every 6 min and it makes the City SO much more accessible. Only thing I didn't like is how unhelpful the staff was when it came to my son being in a stroller. But I figured it out myself. And you CANNOT beat the cost. 12/10 recommend

Anything you want is here as it is the 14th largest in the world.

Lots of stores and places to eat especially nice food court.

Other than that a fairly typical mall.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Saint Francis of Assisi Church. Our favorite part was going up in the tower, the views were just breathtaking! The second floor of the church had an amazing display of nativities, from Jerusalem to a zoo and even a carnival. There are also paintings on display for sale. Not for the faint-hearted but the views are spectacular, I'd say a must do!

I decided to do this photoshoot for my birthday to get closer to my Panamanian roots and OMG the girls of Dress like Panama did not disappoint!!! My hair and makeup was done beautifully, the girls took extreme care and carried out the whole shoot professionally. I would absolutely recommend!!

Beautiful building located in Casco Viejo. Only viewed from the outside but I suspect seeing a performance here would be amazing.
