Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Starting from 2023, it is allowed to climb the bell tower of the monastery. From there you can enjoy fantastic views of both banks of the Dnieper.

And do not forget to visit the treasury, where you will see a copy of the legendary Scythian pectoral and other treasures of peoples who inhabited Ukraine in different eras: Scythians, ancient Greeks, Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians.

The architecture of the Russian Orthodox Orthodox sect is very different from the architecture of the cathedrals in Europe.
    It affects people.

I'm a sucker for a ridiculously large statue. And this did not disappoint. She has a real sense of power and grace as she towers over the city. This needs to be at the top of your to-do list while in Kyiv. It really does match the offering of other major European cities.

The original temple of the 12th century. The beauty is impressive. In August 2015, the Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine appeared on the walls of St. Michael's Monastery.

Very enjoyable to visit the Skansen of Ukraine. Lovely old style houses and wooden church. Also the paths and gardens are arranged in an old style.

I always visit this place during my visits to Kyiv. It's an incredible place of power. I like to take a walk early in the morning with a cup of coffee.

This museum is right under the Motherland statue. The main focus of the museum is WWII, but the first part you will see is the exhibition about the current conflict in Eastern Ukraine. It provides an interesting introduction to the ongoing war with Russian separatists but is, as expected since it is ongoing, a bit sided towards the Ukraine version of history. The WWII museum contains the same setup as any other WWII Soviet-era museum with nicely displayed dioramas and lots of material to both read and to look at. Their photo policy were a bit strange. Private camera and/or video camera was each a seperat entrance fee, but taking photos and/or movies with your mobile phone was free. No backpacks in the museum, but there are free lockers and a manned wardrobe service in the basement.

Great fun for adults and kids. Good chance to take silly photos in a crazy park surrounded by beautiful old apartments and a view over the city. We really enjoyed it.
