"For us it was actually a really great way to start acclimating to the altitude for when we went to Cusco a few days earlier, as the Marcahuasi Stone forest is quite a bit higher than Lima.""The hike up isn’t a beginner’s hike - it’s only a mile from where you park but it has a steep incline and the altitude can hit you quickly if you’re not used to it, which I wasn’t."
