Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Since Kyaiktiyo appears in the book "500 Sacred Places of the World", we couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit the day before our regular Myanmar tour.
Our driver picked us up promptly at our hotel at 6 a.m. accompanied by our guide Maggie in our own private vehicle. Along the way we stopped for a delicious breakfast at a roadside establishment and the traditional mohinga was perfect.
We enjoyed passing local towns and their morning markets in full swing.
The Golden Rock is certainly a sight to see and the bumpy truck ride up the hill was lots of fun sharing with the locals and laughing children.
On the return trip, Maggie catered to my wife's special request to see elephants at the Winga Baw Conservation Camp....what a beautiful surprise!
Lunch at another roadside place was fantastic with a nice farm fresh spread. We even stopped at a fruit stand to taste some of those incredible pomelos.
We surely appreciated the special care and personal attention that was given to us on this adventure which was well worth it.
Thanks Maggie for a memorable day!

Absolute 5 star tour. Asked Joseph for a trip on the circle train followed by a street food tour. On their own both amazing experiences. With Joseph and absolute pleasure. Width and depth of his knowledge is impressive. Solid English. Very nice, intelligent human. I wish he could come to every city to show me around. Book him!

Great tour company. Highly recommended. We mistakenly booked our tour for the wrong date before we were even in Yangon. They emailed us letting us know we were late and we realize that we had booked the wrong day. We emailed them back and they promptly replied and said it was no problem and to come on the correct day and did not charge us any extra. My wife and I had a great tour with Swan through Dala and then he took us back across the river to Yangon and we were able to try some local cuisine. We tried 14 different things throughout the day and had no need for food until late in the evening. Swan was very enthusiastic, spoke great English, and could answer all of our questions. He provided more than we thought we were going to get out of the tour and we greatly appreciate it.

Both train experience and taste of local food is good. I can feel local Yangon people’s life on the train and it is really cozy to travel with the train. Also tour explain lots of info to us during the visit at local market and local food shop. However, if you want to try Yangon circular railway line, this tour is not by this line. But it is still good enough fo me. Strongly recommend this tour to all of you.

It was an early start, 5:45 am, Kevin and the driver were early and waiting on me. We drove to the train station to take the ride to Bago. Train left on time, the train engine was struggling, it finally stopped 35 minutes outside of town. They announced they were going to change engines. We went and had a little breakfast and waited another 20 minutes. He asked me was I ok with taking a small bus, I said of course, part of the adventure! It was a fun ride, arrived at Bago. The rest of the day was great!

Walked around the Pagoda several times , never saw anyone with signage or signage pointing you to a car or taxi to the ferry . Greatly disappointed, I was looking forward to this day trip .

We booked this tour 2 weeks before the tour date and we were really looking forward to it. What a disappointment!
We attempted to get it touch with our guide/the tour operator many times using the information available on our tickets and on trip advisor without success.
We just wanted to reconfirm our tour, get in touch with our guide and ask a few questions in order to be prepared.
We wrote several emails and tried to call many times but no one ever answered us.
In good faith, we still showed up at the meeting point on the due date... we waited... and waited... no one ever showed up.
The phone number isn’t being answered to and no one answers the email, we felt cheated.
We are fortunate enough to be staying in a hotel with an amazing staff who are currently trying to help us getting our money back... to be continued...

Having lived here in Myanmar for two years, we visited many of the well-known pagoda temples and felt we had a modest knowledge of Burmese Buddhism. This tour, however, really opened our eyes and exposed us to the austere and devout daily life of Myanmar’s monks in their beautiful century old traditional teak monasteries. Warm friendly interactions with them and community members. A shared lunch. Highly recommend.

Great tour, great guide! We learned so much in the morning tour and it was perfect for our trip. There were a lot of nice touches that i feel were unique to this tour. The breakfast - awesome! We never could have found that ourselves. There were also fun extra parts such as buying fruit for the monks and giving it to them, getting fish food to feed the fish for good luck, etc. The best part was if we were curious about something (ie: the food markets) our guide took us there on our walk no problem! Totally off the "script" but an awesome addition and very kind that they altered it to our interests. Learned a ton and beautiful tour!

The true faces of the Myanmar can be met if you go for this unique tour, which you can explore a small village outside of Yangon and get a chance to observe how ordinary Burmanese live their daily life.

I joined this tour on 26 Dec 2019, booked via Tripadvisor, and was led by a local certificated guide . We took a ferry from Yangon to reach the village and went for bike riding. During the bike riding, we stopped at a few stops such as a traditional market, a local coffee shop for tea break, and a souveinor shop. The village is humble and authentic ,not artifically sugarcoated for foreign tourists. It is far different from where I come from and live, giving me a lot of thoughts about the gap between developed countries and developing countries. The tour did show me how real Burmanese live their daily lifes outside of usual tourists scenes. (but I think some people at the mentioned spots are familiar with tourists already, they were very calm when serving us)When I saw traditional houses, schools, farming, markets, honestly I was thinking like, how can they live under such conditions? To me, the quality of life there seemed something really poor and miserable....however, to my surprise, local people I met during the bike riding looked happy. They waved at me and say hello! when I was passing by them. The smiling face of innocent kids comforted me, making me forget about small problems of life.

As this is a private tour, you can expect 1 to 1 instruction and commentary provided by the tour guide so can use this as a chance to get to understand the country and people by asking questions to the guide! Be aware that the time duration for this tour is almost 3-hour, and takes place under the hot weather. If you are not confident or unsure if your physical conditions and steminar would be fit for 3-hour of bike riding, you'd better not try this tour.

Went on tour on sunday 1st march on our first day in Yangon. Tried lots of different foods and was a good orientation into what we could expect. especially loved the tea leaf salad there was so much food couldnt have eaten another thing. Would never have found all the places on our own. Not only did we learn about Yangon but also about Myanamar generally. No hesitation in recommending.
