If you want to learn a huge amount about Jerusalem and Israel (or I’m sure any other sites this Company visits), whilst doing so in an engaging and energising way, then book a tour with them now! Especially with Nadia, who is the best guide I’ve ever had. It’s worth the price.

For context, I went on 12th June and was a solo traveller with little knowledge about the history of Israel and Jerusalem (or Islam/Christianity/Judaism) but have travelled extensively and usually find group day tours interesting but often struggle to be truly engaged / excited. Often guides tell you numerous facts about touristic places of interest in a rehearsed manner, whilst you stop off at the relevant sites to take pictures and then move on. I’ll break down why this tour was the highlight of my trip:

Tour guide: Nadia is magnetic - her enthusiasm and passion to share her knowledge means you genuinely engage with everything she says. Mixed with a great sense of humour and personal interactions with everyone in the small tour group (whilst still being professional / respectful and caring), you won’t find yourself getting bored as I often am when people simply throw facts at me. Instead, I didn’t want to miss a word and she made me want to learn more. She was honest about her potential bias given her background and did a great job of giving a balanced and fair view given the sensitivity of some of the history discussed and sites visited. I didn’t think she was preaching one view at all, which can be a concern for some when doing these tours, but instead did a great job to help people understand the nuances around the complexity of Israel and Jerusalems history in an empathetic way. She encouraged people to ask as many questions as they wanted. She’s also highly intelligent with fascinating life experience - her background growing up and living in cities all over the world, including being a lawyer at a top firm in London, to then studying again to become a tour guide in Israel is amazing, giving her a refined perspective that honestly wouldn’t be the same with most qualified tour guides. Above all, she really cared for everyone to have a great time and take away what they wanted from the experience. She’s also very relaxed and happy for you to not pay attention, or rest or do frankly whatever you wish! I had the best day and learnt so much thanks to her.

Tour bus/organisation: pick up and communication was good from the Company despite booking at the last minute. A later start than other tours is also much better for enjoying the day. The tour bus / van was clean, well equipped and reflected the price paid with a lovely and helpful driver too (thank you Sir!). The group size was big enough for a solo traveler like me to enjoy whilst feeling small enough to be a personal experience. They also dropped me off at the airport on the way back to Tel Aviv - very kind of them and saved me a lot of time, allowing me to squeeze the trip into my schedule, in another example of going out of their way to accommodate you.

Jerusalem: a unique and fascinating place given the history I learnt on the day! You can read enough online so will skip the details here

Lunch: food was a platter of vegetarian options (you could order meat separately) - salads and mezze to share with others. Bring other snacks in your bag if you’re the type to get hungry.

What to bring: bring some cash for the drinks break and if you want to buy any souvenirs (this is one thing I think they should have told people about in advance as I didn’t have cash, although Nadia kindly lent me some) - another good thing about this trip is you don’t stop off at any shops and feel pressured to buy anything - instead if you want to finish lunch early you can buy something from the shops nearby at your own discretion. As expected, you will need sun protection and water (or just buy it during the break).

They also took group pictures that she shared after the tour which is a nice touch.

Thanks again Nadia - from your London PE friend!

Enjoyed the tour a lot! Much more than what I had expected, but I don’t call it too much. Yoav was a wonderful host, and I’d recommend this tour to anyone who’s visiting Israel for the first time.

Jacob was our tour guide, and he was seriously funny! But knowledgeable as well, and clearly passionate about Israel. He truly was a blast and I do not have any negative things to say about my experience. The company was super fast to respond to any of my emails about hotel pickup and they drop you off right at your hotel! When I visit Israel again, I will definitely do another tour with Bein Harim. A great history lesson, beautiful sights, and delicious food!

*For those of you who mentioned the sales tactics about the store you visit in Jerusalem, yes it is a sales presentation but no one is forcing you to buy anything. The store owners are kind enough to provide a clean bathroom, water, and coffee as you will need a break given Jerusalem is pretty much hot year round.*

Tour guide was Frank. He was very good and informative even on the drive there. Masada was beautiful, though hot, and he gave us a ton of info while there. Getting to see some of the original architecture and setup of King Herod’s palace was wonderful. Masada is hot and direct sunlight most of the time so be prepared. Went to lunch after that where there is also a souvenir shop. Then we went to the Dead Sea which is beautiful and salty. Spent an hour there and there is a souvenir shop as well.

    Logistics:
Very well organized. Charter bus picks you up (when I went they were only doing one pickup location near me but walking/biking/scooters make it fairly simple to get to if you’re staying nearby). Buses do have usb outlets in the ceiling. Our trip bus stopped at cafe/gas station before heading to Masada so you can get drinks/bathroom/snacks there.
There’s a bathroom right when we get to Masada and a place to fill up water but it was t super cold. Spent a couple hours at Masada then left for lunch where there’s also a souvenir shop to go to. However, there’s a shop at the Dead Sea as well. Some of the Dead Sea products were cheaper at the Dead Sea but the shop at lunch had more things overall I think. Then to the Dead Sea. We only spent an hour there (tour said 2) but it was plenty of time since it’s so hot so you don’t really want to stay in too long. There is a place to change there and you can rent or buy a towel too.

Comparing the 3 I went on (separate reviews under same name for each but here’s a summary if you’re trying to choose between a few). I think they were all wonderful for different reason so hopefully you don’t have to choose between them but if so, I hope this info is helpful.
Jerusalem: if you’re into history and religion then this one is fantastic for you. However, it is a walking tour and Jerusalem is hilly. It wasn’t too bad with frequent stops and a lot in the shade but still be ready for that.
Caesarea: if you love the sea, Greek ruins, caves, and the Crusades/really old buildings then you will probably enjoy this one.
Dead Sea: King Herod’s old winter palace and a trip to the lowest point on earth (and the saltiest). This one was the hottest day trip but it was very worth it. Quite a bit of walking and up and down stairs in Masada and there isn’t a ton of shade to stand in either. But it had wonderful views and a lot of the original architecture. Dead Sea is salty and hot but you gotta get in at least once.

Today , our guide Omri went far beyond providing brilliant, enjoyable insights about Caesarea. When I faced an emergency forcing me to leave the tour bus, Omri reacted with incredible understanding and humanity. He somehow immediately found me a taxi and graciously offered to personally assist with helping me rebook ... because he could tell how much I was enjoying the tour. He was right - this is a wonderful tour by which to learn about Caesarea (etc) and its history and that of Israel. Brilliantly done.

Dan was an amazing guide very insightful details that he took the time to talk about interest points throughout our tour. He also was speaking in English and German for our tour group. I would highly recommend Dan and Bein Harim tours for your trip to Israel. Thank you for a wonderful experience In Nazareth.

The tour consisted of Aqaba, Wadi Rum (sleep in the desert), and Petra. It was worth every minute there! We had an amazing guide, interesting, fun, approachable, and who enjoyed taking us by surprise us with the most incredible views.
The views were simply mind-blowing. Petra of course was breathtaking as well.
Sleeping in the desert was a wonderful experience, it felt like a luxury camp, and all the stuff was super friendly.
Also, we did not have to worry about crossing the border or anything. Everything was super simple with them.
In addition, this tour doesn't include camel riding, nor any type of riding, which we didn't want (animals rights are not super respected there).
    100% recommended!

I just returned from a great trip to the Middle East which include the Abraham Tour 3 day Petra and Wadi Rum tour. We went from Tel Aviv but it’s the same tour from Jerusalem. They drove us from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and we picked up the Jerusalem people. It was an absolutely great experience but its worth knowing some things before you go. Our tour actually didn’t go to Wadi Rum because there was a sandstorm. It was a bit disappointing but clearly not the tour operator’s fault. Instead we went to a few other ancient sites which were fine. Petra was absolutely amazing. Staying at the Bedouin camp was great also. The accommodations were quite basic, but clean and comfortable enough and it was fun to sit by the fire and hear music while they served mint tea.

I chose the Abraham tour because it gave a full day in Petra instead of half a day and because it left from a hostel instead of some random address. We decided to stay in a private room at the hostel and it was clean and comfortable, in a great location, and inexpensive so the take off point was perfect and we did value the full day in Petra.

The part of the tour in Israel was poorly done, but the part in Jordan was fantastic. The tour bus picked us up in Tel Aviv. There was no guide. The bus was filthy and overcrowded and there was no place for luggage. It drove us to Jerusalem where we met other people and were put on a bigger bus. This one had space for luggage and was much roomier but was also filthy and in poor repair. They told us how many of us were there and to stay together. The bus brought us to the border with Jordan and dropped us off. We were left to negotiate a rather complicated 3 step process on our own in a facility that was crowded with people who pushed their very large families in front of you in line. There were people with guides who also pushed in front of us. When we finally got through, we waited for our fellow travelers to meet our bus. The driver had no idea how many people there were. Our tour group took care of each other but it was rather odd.

The bus in Jordan was large and clean and comfortable. Once we left the airport we picked up our guide, Nadar. He was great. He got us the rest of the way through the border and took care of us until we left Jordan. He was very informative and gave us lots of useful info.

Beware – going to Petra is a LOT of walking. You walk about 3 miles just to get to the area with the caves and it goes further from there. You have to walk back when you are done and there is lots of walking inside, up and down rocky stairways to see the various buildings. It is well worth it but if you have trouble walking this is not the place for you. You do have an option to take a horse part of the way, a camel part of the way, a carriage pulled by a donkey or a golf cart. You can see the main parts of the site that way, but you won’t be able to go much beyond that. Nadar took us on a tour for the first part of the day and brought us for lunch. Once we finished our lunch we were on our own to explore. There is a 900 step staircase to go to a cathedral in the back. I took a donkey which was quite an experience but ended up being a good choice. Riding instead of walking enabled us to have enough energy to go up from there to the top of the site and also to walk down and still see the caves on the side hills. By the end of the day I was totally spent when we returned to our Bedouin Camp site. The day after Perta we stopped at Mount Nebo, where Moses looked upon Jerusalem after wondering the desert. I didn’t expect much from that but it was really awesome.

Overall I recommend this tour. The guide was great. The sites were unbelievable. The food was good too. The only bad part was the transport from Israel to Jordan.

Nice tour of several great sites. Masada is impressive and hearing the guide relate its history made the experience worthwhile. EIB gedi was beautiful but more history about life there would have been good. The Dead Sea was a bit brisk. Stopping 30 min for lunch would have been helpful.

This was a fun way to see Tel Aviv! Outdoors, exercising and Mikey was friendly and knowledgeable! I do suggest you take water along…it was quite a way in before we had our first water stop!
Mikey, I think it would be a nice touch to include a bottle of water on the bicycle holder!

We scheduled a tour with Tal on one of our very first days to familiarize ourselves with the area. Touring with Tal felt like visiting a friend. She didn't just take us to the typical touristy spots, but she took us where locals were. We toured Carmel Market and it was evident that she has deep connections with the vendors at the market. She shared the evolution of the area and how that's affected the residents that lived there and gave us her perspective. You cannot replace the information she shared with an article from the internet or a book. Her personal, local knowledge is irreplaceable and we are definitely glad we did this. We've taken several tours in several different countries and this is the BEST tour we've ever taken.

Our family of five very much enjoyed our tour of Bethlehem. Our guides were knowledgeable and enough time was provided at each stop. Our surprise lunch was absolutely delicious and the prices at the shop were reasonable, especially compared to other shops in Jerusalem. Overall, it was lovely to have an Arab Christian guide leading us around the holy sites. We loved it!
