Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- The Wolf of Boca76 contributionsA must experience when you are in town, literally a 2 minute walk from the dung gate near the Kotel. Walk out of the Dung gate turn left, then turn right and it’s right there, they tell you and show you the story of the ancient city of David, where King David held court, right next to the holy Jewish temple, they walk you through the history of Jerusalem and then you walk through the ancient water tunnels it’s around a half mile trek in complete darkness to bring a flashlight, head lamp, or buy a flashlight for 6 shekels before you go into the tunnel, only cash or coins no credit card machines down there, the water is cold but only goes up to your shins, make sure you take the under ground drainage system back up to the top of the hill rather than the shuttle.Written 3 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As expected, this Library is a wealth of history and important documents, but it is also so much more. Its new home will be in a new building, but some special components will not be moved from the current library. Take advantage of the free Thursday tours to see the stain glass wall by Mordechai Ardon; it will not transfer to the new building.Written 30 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BasicsTouringJerusalem, Israel1,005 contributionsI particiapated in a one day conference on the health and the environment with very interesting lectures and discussions, had an opportunity to meet and talk to colleagues and former students during the coffee breaks and the luscious buffee lunch. The organization of the meeting was very good and so were the facilities.Written 25 January 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BunclodySen1Jerusalem, Israel54 contributionsEzra Zaifani, whom I have known since the 1980s, and call ‘Ezra HaSofer’
(“Ezra the Scribe”, after a genuine historical late Biblical figure), is a really
Great scribe.
In other words, he writes Hebrew Religious texts on parchment, like Torah
Scrolls, mezuzot (the rolled up Hebrew text that is supposed to be inside the
little boxes you will see on the doorposts of Jewish homes), scrolls of Esther,
Etc.
He is dedicated to producing fine quality religious material, and, as is mandated,
Does not try to charge too much profit.
I know a few Scribes like Ezra.

An incredible amount of research has gone into finding out exactly what the original articles in the Temple looked like, and here they have been replicated down to the last detail.
This was my third visit to the Temple Institute site, but the first time I had a guided tour there. Sadly, although the place is fascinating, the guide on this occasion wasn't as good as I hoped.Written 10 November 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But I have never been as captivated as I was by Benny at Thinkers Distillery in Jerusalem. His breadth & depth of knowledge was mind-blowing! And SO entertaining!!
Add that to a fabulous atmosphere, the best olives & breadsticks, and it all added up to a thoroughly enjoyable visit.
And the gin & vodka? You’ll just have to go & taste it yourself…..but I’ll tell you this much: we bought a bottle of each, and can’t see them lasting very long. Which means we’ll have to go back & see more of Benny. We can’t wait!Written 6 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
