Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the amazing places in Istanbul, Turkey. The location is at the Western side of Istanbul. It is a very nice place specially in sumner times. Besides the seaside and alongside it there are lots of shops and restaurants and most famous for fish sandwiches which is cheap and delicious. A good place to relax and spend a good time with family.

We were here in december and Onur, the man who take care of the place is the best! He was very pleasant and helpful! The prices for this time of the year are very low. The turkish tea is only 2TL! Apart the other restaurants! And Aqua beach is actually on the beach, only 50m! If the road takes you to Sile you should deffinetly check this place 😉

My family comes from Uzbekistan which is a land locked country, so we really had low standards for the beach itself and if your background is similar (or if you're not too picky) you're sure to enjoy Florya.

Payment: When you arrive you're prompted to pay with an istanbul card (which is the same as a metro card) and the fees are not too shabby. There are also places for you to put cash into your cards right by the entrance gate.

Food/Amenities: There is a decent selection of food which has all of your standard beach cuisine like hotdogs, hamburgers, and fries; a place to buy swimsuits/beach toys; and places to change and go to the bathroom free of charge. They do not have places to buy towels however so do not forget your own! On the beach itself are several umbrellas and beach chairs among which we had no trouble finding a place for ourselves to get comfortable.

Water Quality: The water does have algae in it and the sea itself is not very clear but if you are not too pessimistic you will enjoy the beach experience anyway, as the seaweed was not intolerable.

Beach Quality: The sand has little bits of debris inside of it (including things like broken toys and cigarette butts), but like I said, we had low standards as we hail from a landlocked country with no adequate beaches for comparison. The kids made sand castles all the same.

My family and I had a great time and were able to relax without paying an arm and a leg. Though it was not exactly a 5-starred luxury experience, I would recommend Florya to check out for a day if you're in the area

Istanbul - very busy, with chaotic crowds especially on the transport system and within most public areas, taking a while to get orientated. Little genuine government tourist guidance, mostly street guides selling tourist trips. Fantastic thousands of years of history, take a good history book, a good pair of walking shoes, a good map (not Trip Adviser which needs radically updating), ignore the street guides and buy a travel card that can be topped up regularly and used on the underground, trams, and local ferries but be prepared to push and be pushed amongst the congestion everywhere which is not easy for young children. Terrible provision for any disability on public transport or on pavements. Cats cats cats everywhere! Take a trip on the regular local ferry down the Bosphorus. No real problems with crime other the usual necessary precautions of any big city - heavily security concious at the airport. Learn a few words of Turkish because unlike most European cties, very little English is spoken.

₺100 per person just to get to the beach which I feel was excessive seeing the facilities are a bit run down.

You are not allowed to take your own food or drinks either making this an expensive day at the beach for an Australian.

Transportation to this area was difficult too. Maybe hire a car for the day.

Rocky beach. A lot of seaweeds in the water . Water is little bit deep. Not very good for kids and people who are not good swimmers but lifeguards are present all the time.

If you are resident at kadikoy and atasehir, be sure that you went to place for any purpose at least 10 times per month. Starting 5 o'clock some people start to walk till to midnight 365 days. If you don't want to walk , you can ride bycicle, scooter, treecycle or sit on green zone. If you want to go there at weekend you can be part of woodstock crowd.

Tha place has changed a lot by years. In the begining all was free once you entered. Now the entrance is not free. If you ar not the member of Bogazici University, as a guest you need to pay 115 TL per person for almost nothing. Just for umbrella and for lying. The food & drinks inside are overpriced. I went there yesterday 10 years after. compare to 10 years before almost everything changed. It become bigger. The service is good compare to other beaches in kilyos. The average price for other beaches for entrance is 60 TL but Burc beach is 115 TL (just keep in mind). As a result for one fine day you need to spenf around 300-400 TL per person here. The facilities are clean and the people who are working there are very friendly, the food is tasty.

It is the best beach in Kilyos judged by facilities and beach area. But there is room for improvement given the entry price.

It is a "family beach" which means men are allowed to enter if they are accompanied by a lady passing as wife or maybe girlfriend only. They do not want single man to chat up the ladies. My husband was even once refused entry in company of our 4-year old kid. So take my word, they are strict about it.

Would I come here as a tourist? No. Why waste your days in an exciting city like Istanbul on a rather average beach. It is hard to reach without your own car, usually crowded, quite high entry fee... For us it is a bit different. We live in the northern part of Istanbul & going to the beach that is a 40 minute car drive from home can be a nice weekend activity. The non-manged i.e. free beaches are (literally) a waste. We go to solar or bamboo beach.
