Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent palace. Be aware of lots of stairs small, large and rough. Lovely to see bird life chickens and cats all living in harmony in the grounds

If you have nothing else todo then go for a walk around the old town. Follow the walking route. Not much to see - few ruins amongst newly built shops/restaurants so you can easily miss then. Harbour is nice for a meal stop. There are daily tours to the lower Duden waterfalls (10 euros) from the harbour too. Point to note if at Hadrians gate walk underneath it then up the steps and keep going straight past the pub/bar area until you get to the sea for sunset - breathtaking view!

Couldn't believe I was actually there, walking in Mevlana Rumi's footsteps. Goosebumps! The mausoleum is richly decorated and offers a complete immersion into Rumi's deep mysticism.

I went on a Thursday about 6 pm but it was already closed, but I could peek in to see some displays inside. The area around the castle is a lovely place to walk around, with gardens and signboards about various flowers and trees. It is very windy and cold up there though!

Ataturk Pavilion or Palace. No doubt it’s a magnificent place over a hilly area, surrounded by a beautiful garden with big colorful flowers. A 12.5 TL ticket allowed you to visit the house of the man who ruled Turkey for many years. The founder of modern Turkey used to live in this small house Hall, visitors room, will room, small kitchen and bathroom and an amazing balcony.
A must visit place while in Trabzon.

An Interesting site to visit. This is an archeological site. You have to imagine how it was.
We add the museum privately as we had a 2 day one night trip . We did Troy before Gallipoli . We took the local mini bus back to town for 30 Tl pp . We had a great tour guide that assisted us with the transport.

This mosaic collection in this museum is very impressive. I could easily spent the whole day watching every single piece of the mosaic art. Even after taking hundreds of photos, it is hard to leave the museum. This was one of the best part of our tour of Southern Turkiye. Thanks to those who built the museum and brought these art pieces together.
