  • The ranking of tours, activities, and experiences available on Tripadvisor is determined by several factors including the revenue generated by Tripadvisor from these bookings, the frequency of user clicks, and the volume and quality of customer reviews. Occasionally, newly listed offerings may be prioritized and appear higher in the list. The specific placement of these new listings may vary.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

100% recommended! This was the best food tour I've had out of many, because Thom is very interactive. He provides a smart, well-spoken, authentic perspective on Hue's food, culture, and history. He also easily answered all of my strange questions about Vietnamese customs. Walking around a market with Thom was a totally way better experience than on my own. I would never have found the places he took us, or known how to order them. I support his choice to hire cyclo drivers for transit, instead of motorbikes or vans - it's a quiet and slow way to appreciate the city. Thom really looks out for you - he's especially attentive to safety- for food and transit - which was unique and comforting.

When we visited Hue in 2019 we went on the Cyclo tour with Hoa and enjoyed it so much that we decided to do it again but this time with our daughter and her husband. Our guide this time was Ruby who spoke near perfect English. She took us to new places that we did not go to the previous time and she explained all the food in detail. We can highly recommend Ruby to show you the real food in Hue. The Cyclo option is more expensive than the walking tour but you get to experience a lot more of the city at night.
Do this tour - you will not be disappointed.

I usually don’t write reviews, but I got to say this experience was definitely worth it.

My experience in the beginning was little chaotic due to meet up location misunderstanding, but the moment we finally met our tour guides Ngoc and Hoa everything went smoothly. Those two definitely have the characters that you wish all your tour guides have. You will be surprised by the knowledge they both have about the food , surrounding area, and Vietnam culture. They definitely can drive the scooter and will get you to the next place the safest way possible. For your reference I’m 5’11” 200lbs and Hoa drove me like a champ.

The amount of food you will be getting is a little wild. I would recommend starving yourself before tour because you will definitely be full by the end of it.

Overall, if you have a chance of getting those two as your tour guides you in for fantastic experience. To me it was more of friends telling you fun facts about the city, while eating food.I’m glad that we had a chance to meet this wonderful people, and hope you will have a chance of meeting them as well.

We were picked up by our guide, Tea, on time at our hotel at 4pm. He spoke really good english, and explained the tour and safety guidelines very thoroughly. We were on our way to multiple sites safely. First, we went to Long Bien Bridge, and he explained the history of Vietnam to us. Then, we went to see the daily lives of people on the island and in the local areas of Hanoi. We were able to go into small allys via our Vespa. We sat down at the B52 cafe and had some juices. Then, we are off to see the Ho Chi Minh Plaza, opera house, and old quarters. We were able to see Hanoi from the eyes of a local. Then, we had dinner at a local restaurant and talked some more. It was like Tea was taking his friends to see Hanoi. We felt completely at ease and taken care of. Tea is very knowledgeable and the best part is that he speaks English very well, and were able to provide a lot of information about the country. Thank you! I highly recommend this tour to everyone!

C was excellent and thoroughly knowledgeable about Hue and its history but her company on the Street food tour was great and made it one of the most enjoyable parts of our trip to Vietnam.

We had been travelling Vietnam North for a while before reaching Hue and had passed up other food tours as we felt we could do our own for cheaper. It was recommended to us that we do one in hue as there's a lot of untapped food culture to discover as it's the food capital of the country. We are so so glad we chose this tour, our guide Tai was fantastic and super knowledgeable about the history of the town and the best food spots. He took us to places only locals know about for food and also general spots around town, places we wouldn't even know about or find otherwise. We were stuffed full and super happy with our food discoveries, everything was delicious. It's a great way to try things you wouldn't usually be confident to. Even the cyclo was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

We had a fantastic time with David on a Cyclo food tour in Hue.

We have done a lot of food tours over the years in many countries, this was by far the best and terrific value.

We met on time and stopped first at the market so we could learn about where the food we will be eating comes from. We then made our way to 5 stops around the city by Cyclo. All the time David gave us history, food and language lessons. Our entire group throughly enjoyed the trip and got some great photos.

The trip was so well done we decided to book the one way Jeep tour from Hue to Hoi An through David.

Overall we highly recommended using David to see the sights you wouldn't ordinarily see or know about.
