Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Never having done pottery before it was fun to try it out. The instructors were very patient and really wanted you to get a good piece, helping out whenever they could. I ended up creating at least 6 or more pieces half of which I scrapped. You shoot pics of those you want finished and choose your glaze which they do after drying. Since it takes 3 days to complete the process, make sure you have enough time for them to finish, and wear clothes that are easily washed or shorts as you end up with a lot of splatter on you. I asked about shipping and it’s expensive. Great activity especially for a rainy day.

The trip was well planned and we ate in places that we would never have found. Duc was a great guide and explained to us lots about the history, culture and religions of both the North and South. The food and beer was local and authentic and we ended with a visit to the oldest jazz club in Hanoi where the music was awesome. The 74 Yr old owner also joined in with some excellent sax playing. Can't fault the experience and Duc's enthusiasm. A great evening.

My family joined a 3- hour wheel pottery class during our trip to Hanoi. Unika Class was welcoming and instructors were a great host! they accommodated our last minute request for a class and made it a excellent one. It was our first time to do this. New experience with a lot of fun . Instructor was very patient, kind to train us to work on the wheel and how to form the pottery pieces. A highly recommended activity in Hanoi if you are looking for something more than news and different.

In the words of Anthony Bourdain, “One of the great joys of life is riding a scooter through Vietnam.” If you’re looking to experience this (while keeping safety in mind) then you’ve found the right place.

After a super helpful and informative motorbike lesson, Frank lead me on an unforgettable adventure around the countryside of Hanoi by motorbike! It was a truly unique opportunity to see how locals live outside of the city. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Hanoi!!

I visited Hanoi with two of my friends, and we were so lucky to find Dien. He took us through old town to have some amazing food and coffees in places we never would have found without him. Finally, he took us to the train tracks to have some drinks and watch the trains go past. It’s an experience I’ll never forget, and I was so glad that I came across Dien. A really great guy who felt more like an old friend than a tour guide. I’d recommend him to anyone.

Peter was an awesome guide and we had such a good time. He took us to a factory to watch all the work that goes into the traditional way of making pottery. Then we went to a showroom where I picked out a small bowl that's just lovely. Then we went to the village to try our own hand at making pottery and that was quite difficult!

We also walked to the temple where they pray to the pottery god and finally to a traditional Vietnamese home which was probably our most favorite part! We had a wonderful talk over tea and learned so much!

I'd highly recommend this tour if you are in Hanoi and be sure to ask for Peter!!!
