- Vee M10 contributionsThis rating is not to do with the staff at all. They were all brilliant. The tours the day before were cancelled and the weather was quite windy today which caused some issues with the itinerary meaning it wasn’t safe to snorkel Alex our guide gave us the options of mangroves instead which we did. I really felt for him as we could see how he was struggling to keep everyone happy. Pig island was funny and a must do. Dinner was pleasant but all in all a wonderful morning. - wilds4 contributionsThe staff were fabulous but unfortunately the choppy season on a boat you can't see out of the windows of spoiled the day and caused many to vomit. It made us cancel other trips. The tour was organized well, but Pig Island is quite a tourist trap. Pigs are adorable, but you are dropped on that island for a couple of hours and after petting pigs for 15-30 mins there is not much else to do. You can "hike" (15-minute walk) to another side of the island to observe towers of plastic rubbish or chill on the beach, that's it.
It takes more time to get to the boat from the hotel and sail to the island than actually the experience itself.

The day passed so quickly because we had a lot of fun. The crew and driver was so nice. - Traveler390511806651 contributionSamui Elephant Home is a must-do experience for anyone who loves elephants! Samui Elephant Home is a true sanctuary that rescues elephants from abusive shows and logging operations. They give their elephants lots of space to roam and behave naturally.
My family did a one-hour feeding tour and a longer, half-day elephant care tour. Both were excellent experiences that allowed you get personal with their beautiful elephants! Feeding and bathing with the elephants was unforgettable. The one-hour tour is appropriate for all ages, and the half-day tour is appropriate for big kids and up.
At the same time, Samui Elephant Home put the well-being of the elephants above catering to tourists because sensitive elephants were kept at a distance from visitors.

We were in small groups while snorkeling and saw a vast array of fish. The views were amazing from the Emerald Lake and lunch on the beach was amazing. After lunch we relaxed on the beach before kayaking. It was a memorable day for sure. The staff was very helpful, kind, and took great care in assuring a great day. The tour guide Nikki was lovely and when some stupid tourist (me) dropped her phone down a long way she managed to retrieve it. Since the kayaks were transported on the boat, the kayaking is done at a more quiet spot of the marine park. Snorkeling with in a beautiful place with a lot of different types of fish.
