Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Michiel CLondon, United Kingdom4 contributionsKhongsittah Muay Thai is an excellent gym for those looking to improve their Muay Thai skills. The trainers are knowledgeable and dedicated, and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive. In particular, I highly recommend Yuen for private one-on-one sessions. He is an outstanding coach who is able to tailor his instruction to meet the needs of each individual student. He is patient and attentive, and his passion for the sport is evident in every session. If you're looking to take your Muay Thai to the next level, Khongsittah Muay Thai is the perfect place to do it, and Yuen is the perfect coach to help you get there.Written 27 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - max willLondon, UK1 contributionI went for a 1-month Muay Thai training camp. The trainers helped me find my first fight, and it was clear how experienced they were as they knew exactly how hard to push and what I needed to do to get into fighting shape. You can see how long the trainers have known each other as they’re often laughing and having fun between rounds. There’s a real sense of community which I felt welcomed into and it motivated me to see all the trainers come to support us during the fight.
The apartment was just a few minutes walk from the gym. It’s private and comfortable and a 2 minute bike taxi to the BTS.
The quality and variety at the cafe made me forget I was at a vegan place, with burgers, protein shakes, and awesome ‘sausage’ wraps, there was plenty of choice to keep myself healthy through training. The staff are also really welcoming and make you feel at home.Written 28 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I have been operating my full-time martial arts centre in Sydney for more than 30 years. Master Toddy’s insights into business as well as teaching have helped me raise my business to another level. I recommend all professional martial arts instructors to contact Master Toddy if you are serious about adding Muay Thai to your programs. MTIA is an amazing system authorised from the Ministry of education and the government of Thailand. Open up your business and students to international recognition and training and watch your success grow. The best decision i have made is to work with Master Toddy!Written 1 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bris_Traveller82Brisbane, Australia3 contributionsFitfac gyms are brilliant, whether you're travelling through Bangkok and just want to get in 1 or 2 sessions, or whether you live here and want to get fitter and have a whole lot of fun. For travellers, I'd recommend doing privates as it's much easier to fit into your schedule and it means you'll get 1 on 1 time where you can learn at your own pace.
I would highly recommend the Ploenchit branch as it's easy to get to (just catch BTS to Ploenchit) incredibly clean and filled with great trainers who will push you to your personal limit every single session. All trainers I've met during the few years I've been coming here are incredibly genuine, kind, and super skilled in Muay Thai.
For a personal recommendation, I'd highly recommend Kru Tui (in the photo), Kru Sia or Kru Tao to train with if you can. Their unending patience with me when I was a newbie and had no idea how to punch (let alone anything else) was remarkable and so greatly appreciated.
To be fair though, all the trainers are awesome 😊Written 23 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Léa PParis, France17 contributionsA memorable experience, as a beginner, I highly recommend. You can go there without an appointment. Whether you speak Thai or English, everyone is very attentive. I was coached by Banana, whom I found very professional and encouraging.
I will come back if I go back to Thaïlande.Written 31 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The trainers are fun and light hearted. Although they don’t speak perfect English their knowledge and skill set is way beyond what you’d expect to have in a group setting.
The price for the work out is more than reasonable and they cater to everyone! You can be a first timer, weekend warrior or even a well seasoned fighter... the challenge is still there! The owner, Beer, is very approachable.
If you’re looking to build a sweat or get your fix in the realm of MuayThai , don’t hesitate to come through to Watchara Muaythai!Written 7 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Don’t miss this experience - if you wanna try Muay Thai, this is the place to be. No matter if you are beginner or pro. They can handle you and you will enjoy it a lot. I just love this Place. - bhowards6 contributionsThis is the BEST place to train Muay Thai in Bangkok. It's basically private lessons from industry veterans and professional fighters. We trained hard here and had a great workout. I learned a lot and fell in love with the sport. - savarinCambridge, UK4 contributionsLove these guys!
I chose Cheeks due to the location, but couldn't be happier with my choice. The coaches train you hard, but also make sure you have motivation (and energy!) for the next class. Looking forward to my next session!Written 29 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Daniel PBangkok, Thailand424 contributionsFantastic work out! After a few Must Thai lessons, Big box really got my attention. My trainer Poon was very clear and encouraging during a intensive 1-hour class.
Poor also speaks enough English To Help you out to improve your basic movements.
I am coming back and recommend to my close friends.
One improvement, showers should improve. For. Some reason a/c system was turned off last 3 times and they are running out of soap and shampoo.Written 10 May 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My current coach, Kru P Lek, suggested me to check out this gym. I absolutely loved this gym, the trainers there care about what they do, not many foreigners there, I clinched with their resident Thai fighters on a daily base. I was not fully aware of my improvements till I made my way back to my home gym. The newly built gym ( not the old one by Chinatown) is awesome, great accommodation, awesome food, reasonable price. If you are looking for real Muay Thai gym with talented trainers & training partners, do not miss this gym.Written 19 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
