... info on Nepal's food culture, ie growing seasons, dietary preferences, cultural background and how that effects diet, history, etc. over all i had a great time and will recommend this class to everyone I know.
The cooking class was brilliant, from the introduction and market visit, to the awful misshapen, but delicious momo's (made by me), the class was instructive, informative and fun.

Highlights of our honeymoon include the 4-day trek, paragliding in Pokhara, Jeep safari in Chitwan, cooking class at Socialtours and a 2-night retreat at Namobuddha Resort for some R&R.
Really enjoyed shopping for the ingredients to make momos and tasting your own momos at the end of the class was amazing!
7 Ways to experience it
I highly recommend taking a cooking class at Friendship Cooking School if you are in Kathmandu.
I've taken cooking classes in many different countries and can say this was a truly special experience.
It's an impressive class from the preparation in the morning and till I finally handmaking my own momos in the late afternoon!

I definitely recommend going there if you are looking to buy a thangka painting or if you'd like to take some classes.
Such a totally different way to connect with Nepal, by sitting in the workshop with the locals looking out at the tourists, instead of just walking by.
