- MAM222 contributionsThis was our 2nd visit to Greenwell; the 1st was 5 years ago. This time brought friends. Very informative and enjoyable guided walking tour and it was free. Also there were lots of coffees to try. Some vendors are "crabby" but most are very nice and wanting to make sales. We buy here weekly for everyday things and we have tried pretty much everything. Just a very cool place to have right down the road in the heart of town. - Catherine GCNew York City, NY19 contributionsAlthough I see some reviewers complaining many stores here are closed ,we very much appreciated having this shopping center just down the street when we stayed at Mauna Lani Point. My daughter and I enjoyed poking around the beachwear shops and grabbed her some flip flops. But the biggest draw was definitely the Foodland. Really solid selection of products, whether you want to pick up prepared foods or ingredients to cook at home, and staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. They made every trip to the store A+. If good eats is what your craving, there is a variety of good eats to include thai, Mexican, Japanese, bbq, crepes, local favs, lots of vegetarian options, coffee and danishes, and desserts! If you ate looking for plants, look no further. Ive found rare plants like the peanut butter fruit tree, lemon eucalyptus, and moringa.fruit and veggie stands are endless with local papaya, avocado, breadfruit, breadfruit, mango, rambutan, durian, and many others! Let's talk sweets... my favorite honey vendor whose farm is on the southeast of the island. Nice guy, let's you sample the different varieties of honey from the bees that pollinate macadamia, lilikoi, and mango fields before purchasing. You can also find local art, jewelry, clothing, knick knacks, massage, and fresh coconuts here. Often times, there is live music in the dining areas. - MIZT13Long Island, NY651 contributionsI have been there numerous times, last one November 2019. Vera and her husband are great people! Always fine artwork to look at and purchase! If you miss Hawaii like I do, can't wait until this is over so I can safely hop a flight and return to my favorite place to visit, just get on Vera's email list. You may see a piece of artwork that catches your eye and reminds you of your past vacations. If you do, just buy it!!!!! - NoraMilwaukee, WI27 contributionsWe liked Kings Shops but personally liked Queens Market Place better it had more stores and a better variety. The stores were not very interesting to us but the General Store was 10/10 we loved it! We probably went 5 different times and I would like to give a shoutout to Delson who works at the General Store he was so nice and helped us with whatever we needed. I was talking & hanging out with the natives there. Our tour guide Derick, was wonderful and so kind! - Loretta & Chad W2 contributionsMy husband and I visited Lava Light Gallery our 2nd day in Hawaii. We were in awe of the beautiful images the photographers captured. During our entire trip, my husband and I kept talking about the wonderful images the lava flow created especially after our helicopter tour around the island. Our last day there, we went back and purchased an image from CJ's private selection. What is amazing is their photos go well beyond the art work hanging in the gallery! YOU MUST ask them about the "hidden gems" he has!!!
Our beautiful picture arrived less than a week ago. We are so excited to hang it up once our custom lighting is finished!

Then all your senses are flooded with music, art, and lots of local produce, baked goods and food. Long lines at the bakery and wide range of food options to choose from. When you arrive at the address, the shop may appear to be closed. But if you ring the doorbell, someone will be with you quickly (the cutest sign says "Try wait 3 minutes"). Check it out! We loved the beautiful turtles, they looked so real. It means a lot to know these are locally made in Hawaii ❤️ Most are made by glass or wood, which are great! Please continue to use these metals. We would get up early have breakfast there so around for awhile and have lunch before we left. Parking was not a problem during our visit. No public bathrooms. Prices seemed to be reasonable as compared to grocery stores.
