What travellers are saying
- Andrew H1 contributionThis place is absolutely amazing! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Their island is beautiful! It’s a must do when visiting Roatán.. and don’t miss out on the snorkeling tour. Hands down, the best snorkeling we have experienced!Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - elisams29Escondido, CA71 contributionsThis is a lovely white sand beach with beautiful, crystal clear, turquoise blue waters and coral reef right off shore. Resorts and beach clubs provide chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, and snorkeling while locals offer hair braiding, massage, and local food.Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Navigator336127215161 contributionWe visited as part of a cruise excursion. We had an excellent guide (August) who was very informative and entertaining. His English was outstanding. We had plenty of time to take pictures with the monkeys and the McCaws. There was a bit of walking, some stairs, and a suspension bridge, but there was an option to take a golf cart. Really appreciated that we could rent a locker and that the picture package was reasonably priced.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jesse G10 contributionsReally nice place with a super fun scene. This gives you the predictability of the better craft beer gardens in the US with the friendly chill personality of the local staff. The garden under the tall palms made for the only place on the island where I wasn’t sweating! Happy to slow down here.Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RobininABQNew Mexico136 contributionsLOVE LOVE LOVE this place. So nice and rustic, not a fancy beach club. No pool, just gorgeous turquoise ocean in front of you to enjoy. Waitstaff is excellent and food was very good and not expensive. We did the tour from our cruise ship.
Take your snorkel gear as they have a beautiful reef just steps out into the water. There are also Guides who work for tips to take you out there if you want.
There are Vendors on the beach but they are just trying to make a living. A smile and no thankyou is all you need. Don't be offended, its their livelihood.Written 7 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We got to interact, hold, and play with 50 guinea pigs, 6 sloths, and several capuchin monkeys. They were so fun to hold and play with. Two cautionary bits of advice. The monkeys poop on you and wear bug spray. No see ums and mosquitos were nibbling all day long. You couldn’t possibly visit Roatan without going to AJ’s!!Written 11 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mtoffi970Austin, TX5 contributionsWas an absolute amazing experience. Our tour guide Noel was a great guide! This is a MUST see place in Rotan! Sloths, monkey's, birds and so much more. Just amazing!Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Trace2367Calgary, Canada148 contributionsNice place
15 minutes by boat from the cruise port.
A reconstructed Mayan temple and lots of rescued animals. Which love the guy showing you around.
Lots of sun beds and water area.
Snorkel tours are guided and $20 each to rent snorkel equipment.
Lunch was rice, salad, chicken and friend fish. Nice food came with tea or water. Long Que for food.
Bar on site got beer st an extra cost. Gift/snack shop limited for anything but gifts.
I wouldn’t say snack shop.
Nice place and friendly staff. Worth a visit.Written 24 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The entrance fee helps in providing support of the park's operations. Interesting to get up close with so many iguanas in one place.Written 30 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ron IHartland, WI1 contributionWent well before 2023 but was an amazing place to see everything. Our guide was so polite and even had a duck on someone's shoulder as we were walking around. - laurie cDallas, TX54 contributionsBeautiful tropical gardens and hiking spot. The owner provided us with an indepth personal account of the island history in addition to the garden.
Plan on 2 hours if you want to hike and have a tour with Bill.
Definitely recommend while in Roatan!Written 20 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We found this to be the perfect location to swim and snorkel 🤿. Gingers, a restaurant and Bar will let you use their beach chairs as long as you are eating or drinking with them. The food, drinks and service is absolutely top notch there as well. We liked our experience so much that we decided to do it all again in 2024.Written 6 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
