Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This tour was so fun!! Ovel and Canton were excellent guides and so helpful and kind - they easily accommodated us when we had a last minute change to our schedule! The cave tubing was such an amazing experience and worth doing!

Wow, what can I say? This is a once in a lifetime (although I would do it again!), must-do experience. After reading all of the reivews I was nervous as I am claustrophobic. My son (20's) pushed me to do it and thank goodness he did. It was amazing.
It is a challenging tour as you are swimming, climbing, walking, pulling yourself up, and squeezing through tight spaces, so I'm not sure how it is for people that aren't in shape. Both my son and I were pretty tired afterward.
I would recommend Cayo Inland Expeditions to handle the tour. Ask for the owner JP. Jam Jam and Cisco are great guides.

We did several excursions with this company - catch and cook, cave tubing, river tubing, zip line at Bocawina, river tubing and 1/2 day snorkel at the reef. We had Greg or Dirk as our van driver and Medz and Jeffrey on the boat. All were very good. They were all safe and knowledgeable and were very accommodating with us when we asked to stop at points along the way. Super nice guys and made the trips even better.

Great tour. Feva was on time and knowledgeable about the history of the ruin as well as the cave. We wanted kayak instead of tubing and he made sure that was the case. All day fun filled trip and he took us to a local lunch spot. Highly recommended!!

It was so easy to book this excursion on Viator. My husband and I were on a cruise coming to Belize City. I do not book excursions from the ships because they are often more expensive, crowded, and less personal. I had read about tubing in the caves and really wanted to see it for myself. We walked past all of the crowds gathering for their ship excursions, and vendors yelling to us, to the gate. Rene picked us up, right outside the gates with our name on the sign, like the instructions said. We lucked out and were the only ones on this tour. He drove us in his clean and air conditioned van to the place where we get the equipment and start the hike up to the cave area. It was well maintained and had restrooms, showers and changing rooms. You could also buy something to drink or souvenirs. You need to be in pretty good shape to do the 30 min. hike, carry your intertube and wade though the river. We are 60, and we were fine. When we got to the mouth of the cave, we couldn't believe our eyes! It was beautiful! We got in our tubes, tied together as Rene guided us either from the front or the back. You have to wear helmets and headlamps to see because inside it is completely dark. We saw cave formations and bats. I don't like closed in spaces, but I was never afraid. It was a peaceful glide through the cave and down the river to where you started. If you are even thinking about this, book it! It was the best excursion we've ever done.

Such a unique experience. Highly recommend it for the natural wonder.

Our guide Edward was incredible. He led two activities with our group: Crystal Cave and ATM Cave. He was knowledgeable, dependable, and witty. Although bouldering in a cave was physically taxing and a bit stressful, having a great guide made a huge difference. Besides offering climbing guidance, he shared lots of stories about the Mayans and the jungle. It was quite a learning experience.

    Thanks for the adventure! :)

Amazing adventure. Caves were beautiful, zip lining so exciting. Two more things off my bucket list. Highly recommend this tour. Very safety oriented and wonderful time. I would do this one again

Our excursion with Caves Branch was even better than we expected. Everyone was very helpful for our first repelling experience. The beautiful and very sweaty hike up to the black hole drop took about an hour and was not an easy. Our guide, Hector really made this an incredible experience. We stopped to learn a bit about the local plant & animal life and had plenty of time to take photos. The view from repelling was stunning. We’d love to come back and bring our kids when they’re a bit older.

The team at Caves Branch will give you everything you need for the day (small backpack with water, helmet & repelling equipment, as well as a fresh lunch)

Tips: Wear comfortable, sturdy hiking shoes, clothes to sweat in, bring gratuity for your guide and mosquito spray.

I had a fascinating time with Pedro from Cave's Branch lodge as he took me and two others through the cave, both on foot and floating in the river on tubes.
Upon entering the cave we did have to paddle with our arms since we were going against the gentle current, this was a little tough on the shoulders. We had a delicious picnic lunch in the darkness of the cave. We frequently got out of our tubes to see Mayan artifacts. Pedro knew a lot about the cave's formation as well as as the history, geology, and even about the critters that live in the cave and the river.

Would highly recommend for couples, friends, families with teens, and solo travelers. Might be a little long and a bit strenuous for younger children.

This tour was such a good experience! I have never done anything like this before and I couldn't be happier with how professional and fun the guides were. It is definitely physically demanding but worth it! I saw some beautiful crystal cave formations and had fun sliding in the mud and crawling through tight spaces. The lunch was also delicious and swimming in the blue hole after was an added bonus. Both guides were very knowledgeable about the cave formations, Mayan history, and jungle creatures. Thank you so much Walter and Damien for an unforgettable experience, and for not only making things fun, but also making me feel very safe during this crazy adventure :). I will absolutely do this tour again if I'm ever
back in Belize and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure!

Had a fantastic time with Dirk!! He knew everything about Belize so the drive from Hopkins (about 2 hours) flew by as he told us all the history of the country, villages, and birds. When at the Mayan ruins, make sure you have bug spray and sun screen! Our guide, Junior, was great and very knowledgeable about the site. One of the better ancient places I’ve visited. After a warm exploration, we stopped for a local lunch which had many options to choose from and headed to the cave. Omar gave us a great, and refreshing float and explained some geology. Next it was off to the blue hole for a cool dip and great pics. A+!!!

Loved this tour. Dennis was an awesome guide and made us feel at home. Traveled with a 16 month old and it was perfect. Don't forget your bug spray!
