Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I loved seeing this place for the first time! Walking around at night not only felt safe, but exciting and fun.
The atmosphere is lively, and there is a plethora of good restaurants to enjoy. I particularly recommend Smoke and Barrel’s BBQ.
The metro station at Adams Morgan makes this neighborhood quite accessible. If you’re looking for a place to spent a fun evening on the town, I wholly recommend coming here.

Went for only one reason. I read in the Washington Post about the statue of Joan of Arc here which has had its sword stolen four or five times. Had to see it. Has its sword right now and the park is a little gem. Parking a premium though

We walked here from our hotel. The food was excellent. My husband had the lamb shank and it was very tasty. From the hostess to the wait staff, they were happy to help make your meal excellent. The atmosphere was cosy. I would return for another meal. Loved the history of the place.

This place is definitely special. It's got a great vibe and I love the live music. Beyond that it's unique - but is that enough?

The menu sounded phenomenal. it was okay. The service was good, the atmosphere was fun, the prices were reasonable - I have no real complaints about our experience here but would I go back? probably not. I can say that I've been there, drank there, ate there - and I think that's enough!

I had never been to get a massage before and I had some recurring shoulder and back pain. I was told by a friend to go to Wat massage to help me out. What a great experience. The location is right in the heart of the neighborhood. The venue is very attractive and calming. The staff are very professional and nice. They were able to squeeze me in for the sports massage. The whole experience was truly great. Highly recommended. Whenever I have any pain I know right where to go! Plus the owner is really hot. (There, I said it! It's true) ;-)

A wonderful experience!! The salon was clean, calming and the staff was exceptionally kind. I booked the deep tissue massage with aromatherapy and it was everything I needed and more! I'll be back and refer my friends. Thank you so much for the amazing service!

My first Wild Terrains trip was an amazing experience (and won't be my last!). Lauren does an incredible job curating a unique and special trip that you can't get anywhere else. Typically when I travel I see many touristy sights but don't feel like I learned enough about the culture. On Wild Terrains trips you are immersed in the local scene and feel like a friend of the people you encounter. There are so many hidden gems that you come across and meeting the locals and learning their stories is unforgettable. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who is looking for a true cultural experience, who wants to connect with like-minded women and who wants to eat delicious food along the way!

The place is small and cozy. The music is what you come for. No cover charge. I have never been to a Jazz club before and I had a great experience. There were unscheduled walk in musicians from the street joining in on the music as if it all played seamlessly. The drinks were good, service from staff is adequate.. don't expect anything in a hurry. Sit and enjoy the music, not enough room for dancing. Good atmosphere.

Wow. Just WOW. Have enjoyed Jack Rose whiskey bar upstairs before, but the “speakeasy” downstairs for those in the know is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING”. Andy is awesome, we talked for hours and were mesmerized by his hobbit hole alchemy bar lair. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Love the place! 🤗🎶👍🏾 Loved our service! 🎶🤗👍🏾 the hostess easily accommodated our large family group of eight (5 adults & 3 kids under age eleven). Our server specialist was Carlton! Great service that was warm, friendly & knowledgeable about the entire menu, including the beer & spirits.

Okay .... the food. I started with the jalapeño cheddar grit cakes & sweet potato donuts. Those cakes were awesomely delicious, even two of the kids liked em (ages 8 & 10 year old girls). The lone 9 year old boy, not so much 😰 The donuts were delicious & came hot, 5 in a bag. Some of the adults had mimosas, which were just right! 👍🏾🤗
My entree was the BBQ omelet with chicken. It came with home fries & Texas toast. The home fries were just luke warm temperature and I didn't like the Texas toast. Omelet was delicious though!
The finish for me was a great beer suggested by our server specialist Carlton - BOULEVARD SAISON BRETT! If I didn't have to start a drive back to Georgia, I would've had a few of this one!

My daughter had vegan wings and she loved em.

I'll be going back when I visit the district again! All I got

I love MINT! The facilities are so nice. They're clean, modern, and have every amenity you could want (including mint-infused cold towels that feel amazing after a tough workout). I also really appreciate the wide variety of classes and class times. I can always fit a workout into my schedule because there's so much going on at this gym. Definitely recommend!

I have lived in DC for 40 years and Joy gives the best pedicure that I have found here. She has been in business for 26 years and is lovely. My "signature pedicure" lasted an hour including a real leg massage - not just going through the motions. She finished the massage with hot stones. I had never been to the shop before, but she was delightful and generous. The shop is in a funky location and is cramped, but the massage chair for the pedicure was VERY good, unlike the marginal ones in most salons. Don't go for the atmosphere, but don't miss the pedicure or Joy!!

If you are ever in the Washington DC area, there’s one spot I would recommend for strong cocktail. Whether you are having a wicked weekend or a midnight stroll. I would highly suggest stopping by the Town Tavern in Adams Morgan.
This location has a friendly and welcoming LGBTQ management. Even if drinking is not your thing the Town Tavern host Local and well known comedians at their Free Comedy Stand Up Nights every Wednesday and Thursdays.
Definitely check out this location and ask for the manager Carl to take great care of you!
