Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Love this little pocket of relaxation in DC. A fun and walkable area to spend time. Great restaurants, shops, and plenty to do.

There are a number of shops, some below street level. The guys dishing our the product are colorful characters. Fun visit.

Theater was great! Parking was horrible!!! We will Uber next time! The waterfront was hopping with a variety of restaurants.

aw the new musical "American Prophet", and it was AWESOME! It's a musical about Frederick Douglass' life with added calls to arms. The music had clear black gospel and blue/jazz roots that sounded great!

I loved the Arena Stage, the venue was very intimate, and all the staff and ushers were very kind. There is a mask and vaccination mandate for the shows as well.

The theatre is tells stories with DC flags and 51 state flags hanging to the store that sells many racial justice books. I was honored to see "American Prophet", and highly recommend people go see it.

I will say the intermission didn't seem long enough, and we did not have enough time to use the restrooms and get drinks before we had to go back in, but that's me nitpicking.

It's a nice little monument to spot by the intersection popping out of the metro station, very detailed and true to form.

I wish I could say the same about the actual Chinatown...

This is definitely a cool church and a fantastic photo op, but it is off the beaten path, so give yourself some time to find it. it's also an arts center, but I've never been there when it's been open. Maybe you'll have better luck!

This is always a great stop for my senior hiking group. Our new folks were startled as we approached strolling up Delaware. It was closed. While I was looking for a back door or an open window, one of our group rattled the door. In spite of the maintenance going we were allowed into the sanctuary. Having survived the 1960's I would call it a psychedelic sanctuary! If you have spare change a need to get married, this is the place!

We went to see the Washington Kastles play at American University. It was a really fun night. It was really great for the kids in the crowd. If you have a child or are a big tennis fan this is a good night.

Took a round tip from The Wharf to Georgetown. The ride is a great way to view some of capital’s monuments as well as some adjacent cities. It’s also a nice way to relax after visiting some museums in DC.

My family of 4 (2 kids ages 13 & 9) decided to book the Spirit to visit of Mount Vernon Cruise the day before to give our legs a break from all the walking in DC. The cruise is about 1.5 hours long each way with about a three hour visit to Mount Vernon. This trip quickly became our favorite thing we did on our week-long trip. The cruise was nice with information about passing landmarks. You can purchase snacks and drinks if you want and the boat has entertainment for the kids such as a foosball table on the open upper deck. The middle deck was nice to visit since it was air conditioned. Mount Vernon was fabulous and a must see! Definitely add this to your list of ‘must-dos’ during your DC trip!

    JONAH was AMAZING - AH!

This was a wonderful tour and we were happy that it was small and intimate. Jonah was very patient with us and generous with his time and knowledge, we are glad that he is a part of your team. The evening Tidal Basin tour is a secret weapon for sure, such special places that I always wanted to explore, but never got to because of all of the big hitters that are more popular. Cherry blossoms or not, this tour was great.

The band performs on an elevated stage within the church sanctuary. There's an open space in the back for dancing. $5 to see excellent musicians. We've been coming for over 10 years. The audience is every age and the best diversity of any venue I've seen. Generally three sets.

This spa is very quaint and the staff is wonderful. I had a 90 min. Shea Hot Stone massage from Titus and it was the best massage I have ever had. I have been to many spas and this is just the right size where you feel at home. Go try it out!!

Walked in, was warmly welcomed and immediately seated. My hairstylist (unfortunately I don't remember the name) was very attentive and professional. Will definitely come back.
