Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Taking a bus tour to Mount Vernon was a good idea. We didn't have to worry about parking or anything and our tour guide gave us some great information along the way. The estate itself was good, the view was spectacular.

It was a very hot day, the bus was cool and comfortable. Several stops with some other places highlighted when driving by. Boat ride was nice but pretty much a repeat of some of the bus tour highlights. Tyrone was very nice and polite. I’m glad I picked this tour.

We enjoyed our trip to Gettysburg. Our driver Gary was great.

We just sat back and enjoyed the ride from D.C. to Gettysburg.

It included the tickets for the movie, a viewing of the Gettysburg diorama, The Museum, and a two-hour bus tour of the battled field with a certified battlefield guide.

Gary dropped us off for lunch by the roundabout in Gettysburg. We went to a small bar and grill and had one of the best meals of our vacation.

Returning to D.C., we stopped at the Pentagon 9/11 memorial. A beautiful sacred place we feel fortunate to have experienced it.

The Car may seem a little expensive, but with the price of renting a car, paying for parking, and driving D.C. traffic, we are delighted we found this option.

Our guide was good with the information about Mount Vernon and the D.C. area, I could have done without his extra commentary about traffic and the protesters. Mount Vernon was worth the 1/2 day trip.

It was a great way to see and learn about the area. We loved the Mount Vernon portion! We didn't get to stop at many of the monuments in DC so we planned a trip the following day to visit the National Mall on our own. There's just so much to see!

My favovorite part of the tour was Alan's knowledge of every site we visited. He was so knowledgable in all the details of every site. I was so Impresseed with his knowledge and detail of every site. As a person who loves history. He killed It. I would highly reccommend him to anyone visiting DC. He was able to get us last minute capital tour tickets. So awesome . Thanks Alan

Our tour guide, Dion, made the day so easy and special for our family. My 9 year old loved interacting with the people in the living museums. One of our favorite experiences on this trip!

Whether you have limited time in DC or not, I highly recommend. My family and I took this tour our first day/first visit to DC. Christopher was knowledgeable and interesting in his history lessons. We covered a lot of ground and saw all of the “must sees”. He gave us the option to get up close and personal versus a drive by for many of the monuments. Once we were finished, we felt like we could see the rest of DC at our leisure and not feel like we missed anything. Thank you so much, Christopher for making our vacation a memorable one!

Christopher was a great tour guide. We learned a lot about the Black history of D.C. and the back story behind the creation of the monuments, memorials and the city itself. He also treated us with great care!

The first half of the experience was great.. but bus had broken seat and was very uncomfortable on the bump in the road. One of the ladies was tossed out of her seat. enjoyed the tur guide though. very informative. Also just tell people t eat at Mount Vernon.. there is no wsy to eat in between the two parts but that does cut in to the time at Mt Vernon

The second half was a beautiful tour and the bus was comfortable but the tour guide was pretty montone and hard to understand at times.
