Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was the first stop on my Ivy City distillery crawl. I had a cocktail with peach cardamom and bourbon. Of all the distilleries, their cocktail came in first place. They also had a caterer on site serving hot food in case you needed a snack.

Not only is Capitol Cider House a place we love to go for a night out with friends or for trivia, but it's also where we held our wedding! It was a perfect spot for our 30-person wedding. Jared was so helpful and easy to work with throughout the process of setting it up. It is a beautiful space, the staff was great, and of course the drinks are amazing--they have the best cider and a huge variety that we and our guests fun time sampling. I can't recommend highly enough!

Took the Arlington tour 1/10 with Liam. Only three on the tour, but not a trace of disappointment from our tour guide. Very professional and personable tour. Liam was a gold mine of information. He answered all our questions, sometimes three or four deep, and then would add a pertinent piece of history at the end. Highly recommend the tour and especially off-season, mid-week. Our best bang for the buck on our stay.

Ok folks I have a sleeper for you.
Took my daughter to see, "The Magic Duel" tonight as part of her Christmas gifts. This was absoluetly the BEST show per cost I've attended in the last 5 years or so. Absolutely blown away by Mark Phillips and Ryan Phillips comedic genius combined with their underhanded, overhanded, slight of hand magic stylings. These two could stand alone on their one liners, jokes, and snippity, snarkey humor however the magic you witness has a separate if not even stronger punch of its own. Yes, the audience was repeatedly floored and no participants suffered in any way at all.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SEE THIS FOR YOURSELF!!
Located in the basement of the picturesque Mayflower Hotel, Washington DC.

Don't say I never hooked you up..................

Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide Jason was exceptionally passionate and knowledgable about the rich history of the area. We have lived in the DC area for over 30 years and learned so much about the U Street history we never knew. The food was delicious too!

I cannot rate this highly enough!!! Captain Kirk (no relation to Star Trek) was fantastic. She told us amazing stories and brought us to a bunch of great bars in old town Alexandria. A MUST for anyone visiting the area, especially if you love ghosts, drinking, or both!

Everything about this evening was excellent: food, sound system, entertainment, service. We would go back here without question. The chairs are uncomfortable, but everything else is literally above complaint.

Everyone was so nice and it was just a good experience. My son and I definitely will be going back. I wish I would have made the reservation myself but I let him do it so I know now I have to pay for the both of us not just $25.

While visiting Washington, we wanted to get out of the downtown area for something different. Had truly good burgers and fries here, along with a great beer list. Not fancy, just feels like a fun pub. Awesome pickles! No kids' menu, but 8yo liked her burger very much (and 15yo old finished it for her.) Georgetown is strangely quiet by 9 pm so suggest going here much earlier to have full city vibe.

The service was excellent! The food was good. But the soft pretzel sticks were above and beyond! Great taste and texture and the cheese sauce was tasty.

    JONAH was AMAZING - AH!

This was a wonderful tour and we were happy that it was small and intimate. Jonah was very patient with us and generous with his time and knowledge, we are glad that he is a part of your team. The evening Tidal Basin tour is a secret weapon for sure, such special places that I always wanted to explore, but never got to because of all of the big hitters that are more popular. Cherry blossoms or not, this tour was great.

This experience was wonderful. The cocktails are unique and delicious. The decor in the Library gives Columbia Room a speakeasy vibe, even though it is one of the most popular cocktail bars in D.C. Someone can definitely find privacy in the Library depending on which seat they choose. I sat in the high back chair right in front of the mixologist. Watching the process of cocktail making is an experience in itself. The lineup of bitters will make your head spin and the old fashioned choices might be challenging, but go out on a limb and try a cocktail with a spirit you may not have planned on drinking. It will be worth the risk. Walter was a wonderfully professional server and took the time to answer any questions I had without getting bogged down in conversation. The staff definitely wants you to enjoy your experience with whoever you are with. An intimate setting that is great for a date or for a small group of friends.

This place is definitely special. It's got a great vibe and I love the live music. Beyond that it's unique - but is that enough?

The menu sounded phenomenal. it was okay. The service was good, the atmosphere was fun, the prices were reasonable - I have no real complaints about our experience here but would I go back? probably not. I can say that I've been there, drank there, ate there - and I think that's enough!

I attended the Bombay Bicycle Club concert at the 9:30 Club in October. It was my first time being at the venue, but I thought it was on par with what I'm used to in Philly. We parked in a garage near the venue (not sure if there are better options) and didn't buy any drinks. The sound, which can be hit or miss at venues, was good.
