Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is VERY VERY cool. I ran into a mirror tho and hit my head. I don’t my name but i will google it. Don’t go to the macdonald’s next to it. The food there tasted like poop and I waited for it 30 minutes

We went to see 2 art exhibitions there, but took a time to look also on the main exhibition. Very interactive, but not so easy discover. Found several interesting things, I did not know. As it included also some more modern times, got some nostalgic memories.
Don't miss the lunch in the cafeteria. One of the best lunches in Tartu. Impressive menu.

Quiet relaxing garden perfect for a meditation retreat from the city and yet so close to it. It's especially beautiful in summer when the weather is sunny and the flowers are blooming.

It will definitely be interesting for parents to look for their toys.
Hopefully the whole thing will increase even more, because I didn't find any of my dolls, probably the selection of dolls was quite large back then.
The child had also interesting time there, he thought that the children back of the old times had more interesting games.
I would invite everyone who has old toys at home to donate them to the museum. There were also newer toys and playrooms for smaller ones which are a good idea.

The neoclassical main building is a prominent landmark in Tartu, which is known as the intellectual capital of Estonia.

The university itself dates back to 1632 and is now located across the city. The main museum is located in the park, but the main building has a small museum with plaster casts of classical statues, paintings of the university and a few Egyptian artefacts while along the corridor are prints by Durer and other artists.

When a guide is available, you can apparently visit the student cells at the top of the building.

As one side of the main building there is a photographic project with members of the academic community looking out onto the street.

Located in a park, this unusual sculpture by Ulo Oun portrays himself and his 18 month old son, but of equal height. Different people have given it different meanings, but one is that it represents the changing periods in the father son-relationship through life.

One of several statues worth exploring in the centre.

A place of full and rich history, ravaged by wars and people. These wall stand still and welcomes tourist, local and foreign. For a cheap ticket you can climp up to the towers and see the whole city on your paws. With landmarks and historical sights marked and explained in English a visitor can easy see and learn about the city. The towers are open during the summer season so dont be late. Once up there you see how much green is in the city. It is due to the bombing of ww2 era. Most of the city was built of wooden houses and during the war the whole city was burned down.

This is an automatic "included" if you visit the former cathedral/library, now the university museum. Well set-up and maintained place, nice to walk. The only "but", apart from the rain, are the cobblestones - so ladies, wear flat shoes and all, wear comfortable shoes.

I recommend to visit if you are interested in aviation, airplanes, aircrafts, missles, military. The exhibition area is very nice (incl an observation tower) and clean but not too big. Most of exhibition is under roofs thus rain does not matter. Info-stands about aviation history from pre-Wright brothers till nowadays (incl a lot of focus to military) are very interesting and well organised. You would need a couple of hours just for infostands. Mostly there are military airplanes (from many different countries like Soviet Union, USA, UK etc) and I can not remember if the number is ca 20 or something. Also some radars and missles (this was really interesting) from military and also one T-34 tank (if I remember it right; Soviet's No 1 tank at WW II). In addition one TU-134 and some smaller non-military airplanes and aircrafts. Also exhibition of airplane engines was really cool. P.S. It is a private museum but ticket prices were very reasonable also.
