What travellers are saying
- MeMockWarragul, Australia1,707 contributionsI stayed in an apartment directly opposite this beautiful building. When the light is right it is amazing. Located a 15min walk away from the town centre.Written 15 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ludorIasi, Romania2,750 contributionsImpressive and special architecture. The interior is also awesome, with a beautiful organ and so much peace.Written 28 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jouni ETurku, Finland40 contributionsThe Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God is worth visiting, although it's not in very good condition. The site itself is rich with ecclesial history of Estonia from middle ages. The present church and its reliques wittness of many christian martyrs in Estonia. I hope Estonian Apostolic Orthodox Church will some day get enough money for the restoration of this 18th century shrine.Written 24 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- DejanNS72Novi Sad, Serbia2,300 contributionsI got leaflet about St. Mary church with some old photos in it. Leaflet was in estonian language so I did not understand anything and decided to try to find a church. I was really shocked when I found that this pink struckture is what left of that church. Ruined and without tower. Hope that it will be renovated soon.Written 2 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tompa1716 contributionsThis is a church with quirky looking, "modern" architecture and it is not very pleasing to the eye. Fortunately it is in a quite hidden location.Written 17 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Toomas3 contributionsFor those looking for an Estonian-language sacramental worship in Tartu and care to chat with locals afterwards, St. Luke's is a good choice. Also open for prayer some times during the week.Written 26 January 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
