Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum covers the main recent times that Estonia has been occupied. Firtly by the Germans in the second world war and then by Russia as part of the USSR. There are a lot of objects that are used to tell the story which is linked to a pretty good audio tour system. There are a lot of personnal recollections which really got you into the feel of what things were like. Interesting and thought provocking.

We have attended the «Последний этаж» and the whole act was amazing. Great performance by the actors! Immediately after the first scene we plunged into the play and right thru the actors were delivering pure joy! The estonian actress Elina Purde was amazing, she was new to the Vene Theater and I believe the public was blown away by her performance. BTW the spectacle are translated from Russian, so it can be watch on your preferred language.

Memorial to those who fell in Estonia's struggle for independence. Located on Freedom Square it is lit at night and good to walk by going or coming from Old Town. If you want to know more about Estonia's push for freedom there is a small museum on the square where this is located call the Museum of the Popular Front (it's free) and has more info on the struggles that the cross commemorates.

The Library is located just a 10 minute walk from Old Town, worth a walk to check out this architecturally intriguing building. You can enter the lobby area without access card to see the interior. There is also a simple cafe on the ground floor and several exhibitions always on display as well as a gift shop.

A very modest church certainly not as impressive as others in the city, but still worth a visit. Not too far from the center (walking distance)

Great little FREE museum hidden in the underground of Freedom Square. This museum presents the struggle for freedom for the Latvian People and shows real footage of the politicians, leaders and many who participated in that battle. The content is in Latvian, but most items are also subtitled in English and there are handouts that offer other languages and more English for the overview. Best part was that you could watch and listen to as many video clips as you wanted. If you had more interest in some areas then do more, others you could get the general info quickly and move on. This museum's message doesn't get lost in a lot of artistic camouflage, but has a practical and large amount of info well presented. The staff was very helpful too!

Replacing the science center underneath Vabaduse Väljak, this quite new minigolf track is definitely great stop for few hours. The tracks are well-cared for and a bit different from what you might usually expect. I liked the effects and the music. You can also order a drink and take it with you. The staff was very friendly too. :)

Our guide drove us along the Varna/St Petersburg highway, first to a forest walk across a boardwalk over the peat bogs that took about 45 minutes/a couple of kilometers. Well signed with all kinds of eco information on way-side boards. Then through more of the park, past Palmse Manor House to Kasmu Captains Village, overlooking the Baltic Sea. Apparently this used to be a training school for captains of sailing ships and we visited the museum curated by a dedicated man and his wife, who live in the same building. It's one of the best museums I've ever visited. Small, just 3 rooms, full of sea-faring memorabilia from the days of the sailing ships, lots of models of ships, a fishing canoe, all kinds of harpoons and lamps. A historical treasure trove. Check it out by googling Kasmu Captains Village and a short YouTube film. Charming. About 75 kms from Tallinn/approx. an hour by car.

Always a good time at G-Punkt. Great bar tenders, always very cool people (men and women) and good music. Definitely the best gay bar-club in the city.
