Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had the nicest and most relaxing 2-hour cruise from Helsinki to Tallinn on board the MyStar ferry.
The ferry was filled with (mostly costly) eateries, game rooms, outer decks and a duty free.
THe 2-hour cruise was apx. USD35 per adult.

Although Viking XPRS is not our favorite ship, we decided to book a picnic cruise (15 euros pp). The timetable was very suitable. On Fridays, the departure from Helsinki is 14:15 and you are back in Helsinki at 20:00.

The ship came full. Luckily it was a warm summer day and also the sundecks could be used.

We had also booked a Deluxe cabin (72 euros) where we could escape the crowds. There are four spacious deluxe cabins facing the bow. The minibar is included in the price.

For the return journey, we booked the buffet (27 euros pp). It was also crowded. Not the most pleasant way to dine but this ship has no better places to eat.

The ala carte restaurant was closed during the COVID and has remained closed. There is one self-service cafe but the concept of 'buy first and after that try to find a table' is not for us.

The tram will take you almost everywhere quickly with changes to other lines using the practical day card. It is sold at the harbour in the R-kiosk and can be downloaded for one or more days.

Until now I have travelled with LuxExpress twice on long trips (7 hours). Both trips were comfortable and generally pleasant. The buses have a decent toilet, WiFi service, and even some on board entertainment (movies, documentaries, series, games etc.).
However, the last trip had a setback: my luggage was not on the bus anymore when we arrived. This was most likely due to someone else having taken it shortly after arrival at the destination. The staff has been quick to respond and very helpful to try to track down my luggage. But I do not understand why this was allowed to happen, since all baggage is numbered before the trip and everyone normally claim their baggage with the receipt.
In my opinion, Lux Express could have prevented this in this specific case, so I would hope they can increase their care with baggage checking when bags are taken out.

Apart from that, I still think it's a great service and would not hesitate to use it again.

Looked forward to this trip with a good dinner at one of the restaurants onboard. Little did we know that pre-booking was required, so we were either promptly rejected at the steakhouse or completely ignored at the Baltic cuisine restaurant (Alexandra).

Sadly this was sort of a theme this journey, we never saw any staff smile or explain to customers. Especially the lady in the information desk should do a couple of courses in people management.

Apart from the staff the ship was modern enough, clean and not too crowded (I believe it was pretty full capacity).

Plenty of duty free shopping available, good offers be it fragrances, clothes or food/candy/liquor.

The staff are probably used to drunk party seeking Swedes and Estonians (?) but should still muster a tad of politeness and service!

This bus station is clean place, not too big, so you can't get lost in there. Not too far to walk from center. There is also kiosk and small cafe, where you can get coffee and snacks.
Just watch out for crazy people, I have come across some when waiting for bus.

The station itself is small and easily manageable, Trains are clean, not pricy and have free wifi. You can purchase a ticket from a train, no need to buy in advance. Although as there are no assigned seats in 2nd class cars and some lines (like the one to Tartu) tend to get crowded certain times, one might prefer to purchase 1st class ticket beforehand, securing an assigned seat. Don`t forget to buy some snacks to your ride, no dining cars in Estonian trains. Luckily the station is right next to Balti Jaam market.

Such a good train company! Travelled on it many times but most notable was from Tallinn to Valga where I connected to a Riga train. The train was very nice and had first class seating. Only complaint is that there were only 4 train cars, the trains were quite crowded up until Tartu. The train continued on with reduced passengers to Valga. I have to say If you plan a popular trip at a popular time, get 1st class OR arrive at the platform before the train so you can get a seat. Overall, really loved it. Fast, cheap, and got me to Valga exactly on time! Would ride again any day.

I booked a taxi thru LuxExpress the coach lines coming from Tallinn. Waited 20min at the meeting point under heavy rain. Taxi never showed up. Called 3 times Baltic taxi, they hanged up as soon they heard English. Had to go ask for help at LuxExpress office. They called the taxi who answered they tried to reach me, just a lie of course, i don’t have any missed call nor email.
That taxi company has an extremely poor service as per my experience. Try to avoid them.

Good and professional service as usual. Using that company every time I am in Tallinn. No any problems. Taxi arrives at time, drivers are gentle and helpful. I do recommend that taxi company . Quite flexible to order. By phone, either WhatsApp.

We booked a classic limousine from Luxlimu for our birthday party group just to drive around Tallinn for a while and we were hundred percent satisfied with our experience. The driver spoke very good English and had a great sense of humour. The car was exactly what we wanted, e.g. classic limousine with sofa seats, a bottle holder and glasses for our drinks, music, colour lights and all the bells and whistles. The limousine drive was the highlight of our visit to Tallinn.
