Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Dmitry was an exceptional guide. When I book a tour I want someone with historical knowledge & passionate about their job. Dmitry walked me through Estonia’s turbulent history & different occupations tying them to the various monuments and palaces we saw. He even took me out of town to see a very beautiful waterfall.

I would recommend Dmitry to be your guide in Talllinn. Don’t hesitate.

Great tour! We were taken safely around all the really interesting areas (outside Old City, you can do that on foot) with detailed information on the regular stops. We got to see parts that an average tourist would not see. Bikes were new, comfortable and easy to ride. Really recommended.

One of the best tours Tallinn could offer. Pekko is very knowledgeable of the area and he is such a friend, lovely and patient guide which definitely made the 2 hours of cycling much more enjoyable!

Half a day walking around the old town and half a day spending discovering the north of Tallinn with Pekko is easily a perfect day trip in Tallinn!

I organized the tour the night before, and the guide was on time at the meeting place the next morning with a van for the whole family. We met up with another guide, who was very knowledgable and personable. One of my daughters is autistic spectrum, and he interacted with her really well. He knew how to balance our need to see Tallin with my daughter's need for low stress. In the end, we had a very informative, yet relaxed tour of Tallin. The guide was friendly, personable and gave us great insight into Estonia - it was my most memorable experience on a lengthy cruise with many stops.

We decided to do this after seeing the bud at the cruise terminal. For €20 each for the day it seemed reasonable and the drive recommended a route to do both tours, essentially do the red route till the old town stop, walk down to the main station and jump on the green route which takes you back to the cruise terminal.

Both routes were about 45 minutes. Really informative and got to see a lot of places we wouldn’t have had chance to.

    Worth it for me

Our Guide Kurt (History Teacher) met us at the head of the pier. We drove in to town, where we walked through the upper part of town to see all of the look out points. All the while, he gave us some history of the area and anecdotal stories of the significance of each spot. We then made our way into the lower town and got a good insight in to how Tallinn evolved throughout the last 500 or so years. Then we drove to the Presidential Palace. As we walked through the grounds and the gardens around them. Kurt gave us a lot of good insight in to how Tallinn evolved through the different eras of rulers and occupations over the years. We went to the outdoor Amphitheater where they hold concerts and community singing events. Since he is a local he had some great stories about events he had attended.Afterward, we went to the WWII memorial. As a history teacher he was well versed in the historical significance of Tallinn, and how so many countries moved in and used Tallinn as a strategic location.I highly recommend this tour, if you are in Tallinn, or Estonia in general. Kurt, specifically was a wealth of information, and was a great tour guide.

I can highly recomend this trip! Had a great trip around the city with a good guide. It can be really cold to cycle, so remember to bring good gloves and warm clothes. Almost flat road the entire trip. Anyone can manage:)

Even as a local I was still fascinated about the stories behind the artworks I pass by daily. Special thanks to our guide Hannariin who was just great with our rather big group.

We were on the Norwegian Breakaway Ship doing the Baltics. As we had only a few hours on this port of call, we booked a private Van to show us around Tallinn. We saw all the highlights and important sites of Tallinn and found it was really good and a lot cheaper for the 4 us in a van. A similar tour offered by the cruise shore excursions was a lot more expensive. We loved the tour and had a nice visit to this charming city in Estonia.

Raimo is a historian with a terrific sense of humor. He is very knowledgeable and able to answer all kinds of questions. He is an engaging speaker that brings history alive. His English is so good I had a hard time believing he was Estonian and not American!
