- Mick RDublin, Ireland161 contributionsWe stayed a few days in Poprad and sat at the modest fountain most days. Very popular with the locals to get an ice cream cone and sit near the fountain. Unfortunatly little shade when hot. The square has multible restaurants and a supermarket beside the church. The supermaket is superisingly big inside. Local basic Wine is great value - better than going to Billa or Kaufland near the railwayb station. At one end of the square is the new Shopping Mall called The Forum with C&A, H&M and Tesco with lots of specialised clothes shops. Big food court on the top floor for quick dining. Lots of different food styles to suite everyone. - CityCountryMouseOntario, Canada330 contributionsWe had excellent experience with Rajec travel. We booked a scenic tour to the UNESCO town of Levoča and Spíš castle. We were picked up by Jarka and Peter at our hotel in Košice, in the morning, and dropped off at our hotel in the High Tatras in the afternoon. This combination of tour and transfer worked really well. Jarka and Peter are valuable guides, with Peter driving and Jarka doing most of the guiding. Jarka is very knowledgeable about the area and has a wealth of historical and other information. Both Levoča and the castle ruin are definitely worth a visit, as are several interesting sites along the way. We stopped at a very good restaurant in the main square of Levoca. One could definitely spend several days in the area. This one-day private tour with Rajec travel provides an excellent introduction to a beautiful part of eastern Slovakia.
