- Daydream194041 contributionIt has always been a dream of mine to visit the villages in Slovakia where my maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents were born. While being in the villages, we hoped to meet distant relatives and visit the churches and gravesites of our ancestors.
Through the hard work and efforts of Jarka and Peter, this dream became a reality. Prior to us coming to Europe, Jarka and Peter visited the villages of Velky Sulin and Tichý Potok and meet with the mayors of the villages to obtain information about our families. When we arrived at the villages, we were warmly greeted by relatives, clergy, mayors and village people. It was so humbling and exceeded our expectations. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience.
Jarka’s vast knowledge educated us as they drove us through the beautiful countries of Slovakia and Poland. She made sure to point out and also take us to places of interest along the route.

- Kwbeecher4 contributionsTravelslovakia Tours exceeded our expectations. Everything was well planned and our guide was fabulous. I know I wouldn’t have attempted the summit of Rysy without him. Horsky Hut Hotel was fun and we were glad to be there 2 days as a base. The Grande Hotel in Starý Smokovec was a fabulous ending experience.
