Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I can imagine that this place must look great in summer. I recommend to go for a commented tour with some of the ladies working at the place. No need to book anything, just wait for the tour to start when you get to the museum. With explanation of how the things worked back then and with some background stories, the visit is much more interesting than just looking around.
Most of the tour or walk will happen outside, but some of the houses are open and you can peak in.
Since the place has various opening hours during different months, check this information in advance. The tickets can be purchases at the place. It's possible to pay with a card, but the payment terminal is not always catching signal, so there might be a problem with that, we were told.

We were staying in Martin, and i'm a big art fan, so we visited this gallery. It was very quiet, so a lady came round with us and opened up each room, she didn't speak English, but that didn't matter, we viewed the permanent collection and also saw a few exhibitions. It was all very interesting, i particularly enjoyed an exhibition of sound and light waves, you could get involved with this one and make different sounds. i can definitely recommend coming to this gallery.

This cemetery is a gem for Slovaks as there are many famous historical people from different walks of life buried - writers, poets, actors, painters, politicians etc. Definitely a must-see for everyone interested in the Slovak history.

A great ski resort with several wide open red runs accessible from a chairlift and three button lifts. It has some interesting terrain amongst the trees too. Provides an excellent day's skiing. It is a high resort by Slovak standards so good snow but also gets the weather as a consequence. Good quality ski rent available at resort. Has several good food/drink options. Access needs careful consideration as the access road is only open to 4x4 or those equipped with snow chains - you will need them more often than not for the last km both up and down! It is a narrow road which is one way (up) before 1pm and then one way (down) after 1pm. There is a €10 charge for parking/access charged at the bottom of the access road.

Are you fed up with pubs, parties, stuff like that? Why not trying a bit of culture? A theatre. A performance. Starring the best Slovak actors, plays varying from classics to modern (only in Slovak) but always drawn to the perfection. Whatever they play, i know it'll be superb. Never experienced a play which would disappoint.
