Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We found the reconstructed wooden Russian Church the most fascinating part of this complex. Can be seen without entering the museum proper.

I was expecting to see mainly a collection of old Soviet bloc planes, but there were a few Western aircraft springled in, such as a huey, donated by president Bush and there was a West German Phantom, but one thing I found that made this visit incredibly worthwhile was an ME-109. This German fighter had been shot down in Germany by US troops. Local farmers had buried it. It was unearthed in 1988 and a certain group decided to restore it and somehow it made its way to this museum. It looked like it had been reskinned and a new prop put on of course but to have the "base" of an actual warbird that saw action was incredible to me.

This is an interesting museum for anyone interested in science or technology. There are several interesting exhibits in the museum. There is also a section of the museum that had hand on exhibits, and optical illusions. Sometimes you can guess what the exhibit is trying to show you, but unfortunately, a lot of the explanations are in the local language, so you can miss what they are trying to show you

Opened 2021. Small place, audio guide available & easy to use. The curator was extremely helpful & informative.

Carefully collected history of what happened to Slovaks after the invasion of former Czechoslovakia by communist USSR. Particularly good are the 3 screens, on continuous loop, with English sub-titles, showing personal short accounts from ordinary people who lived through it all. Not polished storytellers, but more realistic as a result.

Hyperbole is avoided, and there is no preaching of any message.

And yet, the almost mundane inevitable story of withdrawal of freedoms, persecution of opponents, and potential opponents, is cautionary for every new generation. The daily reality of the random cruelty of people put in local positions of absolute power is a chilling reminder of what blind faith in an ideology can release in humanity.

This is a bookstore with a unique mood, friendly staff and plenty of interesting books. Excellent for those who do not like chain book stores.
