Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located in the pedestrian precinct of this beautiful city, close to the cathedral you come across this very interesting statue.

An impressive looking building located next to a bridge leading to the park. The train station is located on the other side of the park.

A very nice location in a former industrial area. The burgers were tasty and the beer was great.
    Staff was okay.

This Gothic Bell Tower stands beside St,\. Elizabeth's Cathedral and is dedicated to St Urban the patron of vine-dressers. The tower was destroyed by a fire in 1966 and was rebuilt in 1971. The renovated bell sits in front of the tower. Sadly the tower was closed for the duration of our visit.

Its frontal architecture is pleasant to see. It is situated in the main street of the city. Easy to find.

The oldest Marathon in Europe is represented by the statue of the runner known as the 'Victory Herald' which was built in 1960 and has since become the symbol of the historic race. Every winner of the Kosice Peace Marathon is inscribed on to the statue.

It’s near the main street and it’s worth to walk there, especially for Hungarians and history-fans. Ferenc Rakoczi II. prince is a famous national hero for us. He was the leader of the uprising against Habsburgs between 1703-11. He was exiled to Rodosto (Turkey). This Memorial House is the copy of his house with some original parts, so it’s called Rodosto-House, too. Outside we can see the statue of him.

All around Kosice you will find tiny sections of old stone work roped off but not until you visit the museum will you realise that the is the hidden Medieval walls. For a modest fee you can enter. Sadly their is a lack of information, which the museum could benefit from. But still worth a visit

This is the oldest and first ever municipal coat-of-arms in Europe, dating from 1369. The beautiful angel stands proud with her wings spreads out, showing her as the protector of Košice, holding the coat-of-arms in its hands. You will find her at the front of the park around St Michael's Chapel.
