Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Inspire1971610139346 contributionsIt was very cozy and snowy, with a small Christmas market and beautiful Christmas tree. Must visit in Bratislava. Does not take a lot of timeWritten 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Janik S4 contributionsDevin Castle has its charm, but it might not appeal to everyone. The ruins and the view of the Danube are captivating, though on a gloomy day, the atmosphere can feel a bit melancholic. However, as history enthusiasts, we truly appreciate its rich past and unique ambiance.Written 24 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Keith HAtherton, UK145 contributionsVery good for €14, can kill a good few hours here some impressive collections on show and the building itself is fab, not for the younger children. Walk the gardens for free, great views mover the Danube and old town well worth the walk up there.Written 14 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Keith HAtherton, UK145 contributionsWanted to go here when I first saw before travelling, stroll.over the bridge and take the elevator. The views was amazing from the top if a little bit blowy bit this added to the experience. Had a hot drink in the restaurant afterwards which has seating allocated for this. The menu for dinner looks quite expensive butmim sure the views over the river at night are stunning.Written 14 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AngelLondon, UK481 contributionsOnly managed to visit the outside of the church. They have very short opening times, only few hours a day. The building on the outside is mesmerising, the colour is beautiful and changes depending on the light. Worth the walk from the old town to check out this church. Will not need long at all if not able to visit inside.Written 10 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RobLondon, UK1,145 contributionsAn interesting history of the tower. Took about an hour to check it out. Has views over the city so good for photos and history.Written 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kludsky Entertainment OwnerNew York City, NY453 contributionsI really liked the whole experience. I liked the area where the exhibition is located and I think it's a good idea on how to present art. There is a restaurant near by. It's a nice place for a walk or just to enjoy yall's time outdoors.Written 21 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MinneapolismumSaint Paul, MN78 contributionsWe went straight up from the station which was quite a hike. Wound our way through neighborhoods with some icy cobbles and steep sections. The weather was cold but dry, there was a mist over the city and remnants of a recent snow on the ground. The monument and graves were a great lesson in 20th century history. Poignant. There was, however, a whacking great crane blocking the view down to the old town, which was a shame.Written 16 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eva TUnited Kingdom5,863 contributionsWhen we visited it the whole space of the square was occupied by Christmas market with many stalls offering various traditional drinks, mainly a bit alcoholics, and food but there were also stalls with different Christmas gifts. It was nice atmosphere and despite it was full of people I didn't feel to be overcrowded. The buildings around were beautiful incl. Old Town Hall with big Christmas tree in front of it.Written 8 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sunsuenycNew York City, NY37 contributionsThe Old Town Hall houses a museum, and the ability to have an elevated view of the old town area. The museum is very informative about the history of Bratislava, if that interests you. Many things to see and learn about. The best part of this visit though is the view from the top of the tower. There's an outside area where you can view the surroundings from all sides of the tower. Highly recommend adding this to your visit to Bratislava.Written 20 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michaelk4kSouthampton, UK216 contributionsVery much enjoyed our trip to the cathedral. Beautiful inside and out.
It’s difficult to see how old buildings such as this can be improved from a visitor perspective.
I would have liked to have seen more information inside regarding the various coronations which took place inside. Taking nothing away from a very good viewing experienceWritten 14 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
