Small but nice and clean city with lot of option to explore and much to see.
A lot of statues along the city center with different meaning and history.
    We recommend it!

It was worth the visit and entry fee to see and feel the place. Not sure how to get to it without a car, and whether it would still have been worth it. But good to escape the city and feel some peace and space at the end of the day.

Very nice collection of contemporary art in a beautiful building and stunning location. The permanent collection is not exceptional but certainly worth a trip from Bratislava, and I really liked the temporary exhibition of Viktor Freso. The museum is financed by the Dutch tech businessman and art collector Gerard Meulensteen.

One of the original gates to the Bratislava Old Town, you cannot miss it. When visited it was under repairing, probably it will look even better after the works are done.

Great 360 view of Bratislava above the Danube river. The entrance price could be in half. I suggest to visit at sunset time. The west side of view is amazing.

Really enjoyed this place. They have a city history museum that I did not have time to finish since it seemed to go on and on. Very interesting museum to visit and well worth the admission fee. You can also climb the clock tower which overlooks the town square.

The castle was a good place to park, see, and start a self guided walking tour of the city from... It is impressive in itself, but also affords good views of the old town, river and bridges.

A wonderful church. I was lucky enough to visit it during a christening. I really felt a part of it.

Fontain Ganymed is a wonderful piece of work that makes people stop and watch the kids who stay under the jets of water. Highlights the beautiful facade of the National Theater.

Michal, a guide with Authentic Slovakia, took us on an excellent tour around Bratislava - he was very knowledgeable and made the history of his country both fascinating and entertaining. I would highly recommend him. Also, in the run-up to our trip, Authentic Slovakia was very responsive in getting back to us quickly and coming up with recommendations beyond the tour eg for restaurants, etc.

After years of anticipation and planning, my wife and I worked with Peter and Jana Blazicek to create a personalized tour of Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Austria. They tailored our visit to our own particular interests (in our case, more culinary travel and nature, less museums...) in each of the cities and countries that we visited.

Most importantly, coming from Eastern Slovak roots, they were able to facilitate heritage visits to the villages of Krasna Luka and Matysova where my family originated, arranged meetings with local residents who were associated with my family and assisted greatly with finding a common language between us all. We were welcomed not as strangers but as family returning home. By far, this was the highlight of our visit that was beyond words. We are grateful to Peter, Jana and Martin, our guide in Poland, Czechia and Austria for their gracious hospitality and experience of a lifetime. We highly recommend Best Slovakia Tours and we will be back!

    Ďakujem!

This food tour truly made us understand the Slovak culture.

Linda was our fun and enthusiastic guide, who navigated superbly with our respective food allergies and gave us a wonderful introduction to the Slovak kitchen. It made it much easier for us to order dishes in restaurants afterwards and it was fun to hear about the local Christmas and New Year traditions and taste the local version of coca cola - Kofola.

Until this trip we never realized that the spice paprika is a Hungarian invention using the imported peppers, and that we in Denmark have food that we prepare similarly to some of the Slovak foods, and also many new dishes. We highly recommend to go on this trip for a cultural and fun experience.
