Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Old Town in Bratislava may not be big but it has very cozy streets with lots of cafes. It's very walkable and it's a short walk from the castle. If you come here in December you have to visit the Christmas market on by the fountain.

I walked here from the old town. Takes around 25-30 mins to get there. Really worthwhile visit and you get a lovely view of Bratislava

The Christmas market was fabulous. Got to try some Slovakian food and enjoy the Christmas spirit. Beautiful houses around the square too. I recommend!

This old building is quite nice. It’s a museum inside and you can walk to the top of the clock tower and look over the whole town. It takes a little time unless you are in great shape and it was hot. But well worth the hike up the stairs. A nice spot.

As you walk under the gate your first impression of the capital will be inspiring. Fresh and active with outgoing people, the many cafes and bars are lined along the street emanating from the entrance. The dome is scaffolded and under repair in June of 2022.

This is a rather large old church. It’s pretty nice. The entrance area probably looked better before they build a road right in front. The interior is quite nice and has old bones visible thru the floor. Totally worth seeing.

This was out favorite area in Bratislava, a very picturesque little street with lots of trees, statues, restaurants, and ice cream shops. Right next to the river, it is a great place to walk down or sit and relax.

This statue is near the main square so you do not need to go looking for it , surprisingly quite tall as I tried to fit my head under the hat

You will end up on the bench and have your picture taken - that much is certain. This and the manhole statue were two of the best. All are located in the central Old Town. Don’t get too relaxed on the bench - other tourists were waiting in line to have their pictures taken.

Located just a short walk from the centre of Bratislava and although you can't tour the presidential palace the place is quite picturesque and worthy of a photo stop. The fountain at the front is quite cooling on what for us was a hot summers day and if you visit at 12 you will be able to witness the changing of the guard.
Throughout the year certain events are held in and around the building and to the rear is a pleasant garden, along one side of which is a row plaques with the names of every president of Slovakia.
The gardens are quite plain and lack any kind of floral display.
Worth a couple of hours of anyone's time.

New Bridge (Novy Most) would be just another boring bridge if it did not have a UFO shaped lookout deck on top of it!
