Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of my favourites in Bratislava. Beautiful views, architecture, Morava and Danube river. You can take a taxi, public transport or ride a bicycle.
Possibilities for trips are to walk to sandberg, or ride a bicycle to Schlosshof in Austria.

If you visit Devin Castle than you can't really miss this monument!

Dedicated to those who died in the area during the cold war/iron curtain era.

Interesting history is all around this area.

30 years after commies left, it's not easy to understand that once soldiers were shooting own citizens here, when they were trying to leave the country. And this was happening in the middle of Europe...
    Pros:
    - very good location
    - nice piece of art
    Cons:
    - missing information for foreigners

The Socha Svetoveho postara, is a fountain in Vysoká. The name of the title roughly translates as “Statue of the World Old Man” and refers to the centrepiece of the fountain. The sculpture is a 2D abstract representation of the world with a man swimming on the edge of the world and a snail following.

A slightly cute sculpture. Although abstract, it’s not too difficult to understand, but only worth a look if you’re in the area and you have time.

I recently travelled with my young adult daughter to Bratislava and from there did day tours to Vienna and Budapest. Tomas our guide made these tours both an enjoyable and a learning experience. He was always on time picking us up at our hotel and we travelled safely and comfortably in his car to each destination talking about history as well as current events. You can talk about anything with Tomas. He made sure we were ok with each daily itinerary and was flexible if we wanted to change things which we did due to weather.
We enjoyed the walking tours of Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava as we toured the main sights and he told us the history of each place.
We ate at a biofarm, restaurant/cottage, popular with locals and tasted local Slovakian food. Due to rain, we couldn't see the farm animals. He even accompanied us to the UFO Tower for drinks one evening. We also did wine tastings in towns outside Bratislava which my daughter really enjoyed and took us to an old synagogue converted into a cafe in a further town where ate the most delicious carrot cake.
If lever have the opportunity to visit Bratislava I would not hesitate to have Tomas be my guide again. We learned so much about Slovakia and surrounding countries.
He also did our airport transfers.
