- DebbyMirTivon19 contributionsThis trip was 3 years in preparation, cancelled once when the skies were closed and again when high numbers of Corona cases. Malek was endlessly patient despite the many uncertainties and changes. The trip, in a word, was AWESOME!
We are a mountain biking group of seniors (60-80 years) from Israel who love to combine biking with beautiful views, culture, and adventure. The trip was designed to accommodate the different abilities of our members, and bike days ranged from ~36-72 km with some riders taken back earlier. We started in the high Tatras then biked to a boutique hotel with different trails for the remainder of the trip. Added on was a folk music/food evening, Belianska Cave, Tree Top Walk in the Bachledova Valley, cable car rides, UNESCO tour with dedicated guides, etc… even sheltering in a ski hill chalet in a surprise hail-storm. The biking guides were attentive, spoke English, and prepared movies highlighting the day’s ride. We worked together to enhance the group’s experience with Malek, Marcel and all the assistant biking guides to meet our group needs in a calm smiling professional manner.
On a personal note, one of the rider’s had an accident, and Malek and the guides went out of their way to provide support in Slovakia throughout the ordeal. We never felt alone.

Erich is a great guide, the woods and paths and landscape were beautiful, and of course the dogs (Kaila and Buksi!) were wonderful. We all had a fantastic day, hiking over hills and through streams and seeing the sights. We even learned a lot from Erich's entertaining stories of living and growing up in Slovakia. The best part is that it gets the dogs out of their kennels for the day for some fun, exercise, and sunshine. Just a very positive experience all around. - ivanlaerGhent, Belgium5 contributionsWe wanted to take a hiking trip with some friends and we decided to go to the unknown Slovakia. And boy that was a good choice.
It already started great with Martina (one of the owners) greeting us at the Bratislava bus station. We got our road books, a map, information about the hotels, the name of the person who was going to do the luggage transport and bearspray :o.
The rest of the trip was as well planned as the welcome: our luggage always arrived well before us, the hotels were nice and clean (there was one that we did not really like but Lendert (the other owner) was going to find another hotel for the next guests), dinner was booked if that was needed, the explanation to find the hotels was clear. In general we were really pleased. They even did the effort to book us rooms for three people which isn't always so easy :)
So if you like walking, discovering new things and get surprised by nature this is most definitely your holiday to choose!
