Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Cemeteries
What travellers are saying
- Irene NAl Ain, United Arab Emirates33 contributionsGood place to visit. Beautiful cemetery with nice surrounding (sounds cliche). Without the tombstone u will never know its a cemeteryWritten 22 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sy NSan Francisco, CA535 contributionsI rated this as average because it isn't something spectacular (like Prague's Old Jewish Cemetery) and its away from the Old Town...however if you're in the area it is worth a visit to check out the old graves. Some beautiful tomb stones. (Bike shop across the street if you like biking).Written 2 August 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ingrid K1,230 contributionsBratislava has a hidden gem of a cemetery that is one of the most beautiful in the city. I had no idea it was here. I've seen it in several TV series and now I can recognise it easily. It's a picturesque place, no matter the weather.
The only slightly unsettling thing is that between the old gnarled trees and the old tombstones you can see "modern architecture buildings" on the Danube embankment.
The first burials officially began there in 1784 and stopped in the 1950s (however newer graves can also be found here, even from 2005 or even younger).
Often you will find no names, but sometimes you will find tools or decoration which could reveal the occupation of those buried there.Written 30 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
