The tour itself was well-structured, offering a diverse selection of Slovak dishes that truly showcased the richness of the local cuisine. We visited several authentic establishments, each providing generous portions and high-quality food. From traditional soups to delectable desserts, every tasting was a new adventure for the palate.
Jakub’s passion for Bratislava and its culinary scene was evident throughout the tour. He shared fascinating stories behind each dish and provided context that deepened our appreciation for Slovak culture. We absolutely loved it! Daniela was very knowledgeable about everything to do with Bratislava. She brought us to places off the beaten track where we sampled a variety of local foods, beer and wine. My favourite was the crispy duck leg with gnocchi, sauce and bacon with red cabbage which we sampled in an old monastery next to a hospital. We learnt so much about the history of Bratislava from Daniela which made our trip here much more meaningful. The tour allowed us try a great variety of Slovakian dishes, wines, and beers. The sheep's cheese pancakes were my favorite, especially paired with local wine. The pacing was excellent, and the amount of food was just right. We had a delightful meal while sitting in the window watching the people visit the Christmas Market! The food tour was wonderful. Our guide was lovely. We walked through downtown Bratislava. A lot was explained to us - not only culinarily, but also historically. During the tour we visited three places we probably wouldn't have found without our guide. We were offered different regional delicacies, everything was perfectly organized. The places on the tour were all different and had excellent selection of beers. Our guide was very sweet and you could tell she enjoys these tours as much as her clients!
Every meal we tried was delicious and I would have loved to finish every dish (even though it became impossible, since there was so much)
I can highly recommend the tour not just for vegans (as me and my girlfriend aren’t either) but to everyone who simply enjoys great food!
