My partner and I were the only ones at the tasting. If the people we were on a cruise with had known about it before booking other excursions they would have joined us. This was an amazing experience

Excellent Day Tour to Bratislava – A Hidden Gem Worth Visiting!

We recently took a day tour to Bratislava, and it was an incredible experience! This charming capital of Slovakia is often overlooked, but it is truly a hidden gem with a rich history, stunning architecture, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Our journey started with a comfortable ride from Vienna, and within an hour, we arrived in Bratislava Castle, perched on a hill and it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Donube River and the city.

The Old Town welcomed us with its fairytale-like streets, colorful buildings, and lively squares.

Our guide, Gabriela was knowledgeable and passionate, giving us fascinating insights into the city's past and culture. Walking through the cobblestone streets, we saw charming cafés, quirky statues (like Cumil, the “Man at Work”), and beautiful baroque architecture.

Bratislava is compact, walkable, and full of character. The tour provided the perfect mix of history, culture, and leisure. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a foodie, or just looking for a relaxing getaway, this tour is a must-do.

We have just had a great walking tour of the Old Town and Castle. Samuel, our guide, was brilliant and we learnt more in two and a half hours than we could have done from a week’s worth of phone research.

The old part of Bratislava is extremely pretty and has a fascinating history.

I would wholeheartedly recommend booking this tour if you are in the city.

This tour was easily the highlight of our trip to Bratislava. My family enjoys history, and our tour guide, Martin, was a wealth of knowledge about Bratislava's pre- and post-communist past, and of course the numerous decades under communism. He drove us around to numerous monuments and communist-era locales, all while giving both historic and contemporary context of Bratislava's past. He also spoke of Slovakia's current political environment, how even now it is seeing a resurgence of authoritarianism among certain politicians. As I write this review, there are news of protests in Bratislava which speaks to the importance of understanding history and understanding how events around the world impact us all.

The tour guide was a little bit late arriving but more than made up for it with a very good tour of a charming European town that is unexpected for travelers used to Western Europe. Part history lesson, part food tour, part sight seeing it was a perfect blend for first time visitors to Bratislava. The weather was chilly and rainy and she also made sure to keep us undercover as much as possible.

The views were amazing, we took many photos. Our business partners have been excited. It is a pity that at the time of our tour Slavin area was dark - little fog.

What an amazing experience at the Bratislava Shooting Club. Professionally run with super advice and guidance on how to hold, aim and shoot. I loved every minute!

Our instructor was brilliant, explaining everything to a high standard.

If you haven’t shot before this is well worth booking when visiting. 🔫

Jacob was our Foodie tour guide and first off I want to say he was a great guide ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5Star!!! We started with a toast of Slovakian Mead - loved it, The tour progressed smoothly with pancakes, soups, cheeses, duck confit, cabbage, potato pancakes and goat cheese dumplings through to Coffees and Bratislava rolls. My friend and I were so full (stuffed) at the end that we asked for a carry out because we could not finish the delicious meal. Jacob provided just the right amount of history of Slovakia, and Bratislava, the city and the food. We enjoyed everything we ate! And the gift snacks at the end were delightful especially the Chrumky - YUM. Dakujem Jakub (e grazie mille)

My wife and I hired a car with an English speaking driver from Vienna to Budapest, Hungary with stop-over in Bratislava. We were charged Euro 200/- one way trip. We found it was cheap because the driver picked us from Vienna hotel and dropped us at Budapest hotel. On top of that, he took us for a walking tour to see the old palace, government buildings and the narrow streets of downtown Bratislava and fantastic Blue Church.

Bratislava is a small city and the whole tour took us only one hour. But it is a nice city with nice friendly people.

As 2 people who have never been anywhere near guns before (and a little nervous) this was such a great experience! Our instructor explained everything so well and in great detail. Felt completely safe and confident during this, got to shoot a pistol, shotgun, AK47 and sniper rifle. Would 100% recommend doing this at gun mates. Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had!! Thank you!
