My partner and I were the only ones at the tasting. If the people we were on a cruise with had known about it before booking other excursions they would have joined us. This was an amazing experience

The tour guide was a little bit late arriving but more than made up for it with a very good tour of a charming European town that is unexpected for travelers used to Western Europe. Part history lesson, part food tour, part sight seeing it was a perfect blend for first time visitors to Bratislava. The weather was chilly and rainy and she also made sure to keep us undercover as much as possible.

Jacob was our Foodie tour guide and first off I want to say he was a great guide ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5Star!!! We started with a toast of Slovakian Mead - loved it, The tour progressed smoothly with pancakes, soups, cheeses, duck confit, cabbage, potato pancakes and goat cheese dumplings through to Coffees and Bratislava rolls. My friend and I were so full (stuffed) at the end that we asked for a carry out because we could not finish the delicious meal. Jacob provided just the right amount of history of Slovakia, and Bratislava, the city and the food. We enjoyed everything we ate! And the gift snacks at the end were delightful especially the Chrumky - YUM. Dakujem Jakub (e grazie mille)

We enjoyed the experience and thought it was great value for money. The sommelier was knowledgeable and polite. It would’ve been good if we had separate water glasses. A handout with information about each wine for us to read after the sommelier had left us to drink the rest of the glass would sure been good too.

Today my husband and I went on a brilliant private traditional food tour with our superb guide Daniela. We absolutely loved it! Daniela was very knowledgeable about everything to do with Bratislava. She brought us to places off the beaten track where we sampled a variety of local foods, beer and wine. My favourite was the crispy duck leg with gnocchi, sauce and bacon with red cabbage which we sampled in an old monastery next to a hospital. We learnt so much about the history of Bratislava from Daniela which made our trip here much more meaningful. I would highly recommend this tour and want to say thanks again for an exceptional experience. 10 out of 10 for Taste Bratislava tour and our wonderful guide Daniela.

The wine cellar had a great atmosphere. Our guide was very nice and professional. I don't have so much knowledge about wine but the information provided by the guide caught my interest. I appreciated individual approach and family atmosphere of the place. Both wines and refreshments were fantastic. I highly recommend the visit.

Well well well! Now I know A LOT more about beers other than just drinking a lot of them in all their varieties. I had an amazing time on the beer tasting tour! The guide was knowledgeable and passionate, walking us through the brewing process. We tasted a wide variety of craft beers. The brewery/pub visits were well-organized, and the atmosphere was laid-back and fun. Perfect for beer lovers or anyone wanting to explore new tastes.

We booked this tour as we were doing a day trip to Bratislava from Vienna. We went on a Saturday so wanted our time to be well spent in a new place.

The tour started exactly at 12pm, so please don't worry if you get there early and the guide isn't there. I called the contact number provided as I was worried I wasn't in the right place, and the lovely lady on the other end reassured me I was and would get in touch with the guide.
We were then greeted by the wonderful Maria. She was extremely knowledgeable of Bratislava and was able to provide facts about a variety of subjects and was able to answer any questions we had.

We were very fortunate that this tour ended up being a private tour as no one else turned up.

The beer tasting was okay. From previous tastings, there is usually a guide who can tell you about the drink and what to look out for etc, however, we were told to find our own seat & then a server provided 3 beers and that was it.

The beer was really good, (coming from a non beer drinker), however, as a beer tasting experience, it was no different to ordering 3 beers at the bar.

Overall, I would recommend this tour as it's a really nice way to see Bratislava, and you have a 'reward' after walking for 2 hours in the sun.

I missed my original tasting date, they we’re flexible with me. I changed date and showed up and the one attendant that was there was super busy, I asked her to box up the selections. She did not feel comfortable with English so she gave me something to read regarding the history of the cakes. It was not what I had hope for but the cakes were really good.

Over the weekend, my family from Germany and I took a trip to Devin Castle and I have to say it was worth it. A kind lady guide greeted us in front of the hotel and we waited with her for the car that took us to Devin. We also visited the Devin winery, where we were introduced to various types of wine.

Great tour! My wife and I had never visited Bratislava before and wanted to play it loose so we didn't schedule any tours ahead of time. We contacted Bratislava Food Tours via their website email and Whatsapp. Linda got back to us super quick and we were on for that night. We met our tour guide Matus at Bratislava Castle with an amazing overlook. He treated us to shots of blueberry and cherry homemade liquer right there and off we went to our next stop, a great hidden restaurant we had walked by the day before and didn't notice. We stopped and had a glass of wine, tried the most amazing pate' and homemade cheese. We then headed down the hill to the next stop for Slovak string cheese. We then headed to a beautiful restaurant that was a converted Soviet playhouse for communist cola (Kofaloa) a shot and soup. We had more shots outside of a local drink, had beers at a really neat local's place that has a rotating tap menu. We then headed to a hidden bar in old-town for Vinea, soviet crisp puffs and some other alcohol. Matus gifted us each bags with a bunch of goodies to remember our trip. We were lucky we got the tour to ourselves and Matus was a wonderful host, his English is perfect and is really knowledgeable about his town. This isn't just a drinks tour, but a food/heavy snacks tour. It was a lot of fun and the highlight of our trip. I'm sure the locations change depending on availability and your experience may differ, but it will be worth it. Slovakian drinking culture is fun and delicious.
