What travellers are saying
- Michaela LRauma, Finland12 contributionsEasily accessible and so beautiful! It took us probably 2,5 hours to get there and it was wort it...Written 20 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- PilgrimHereBernolakovo, Slovakia23 contributionsWe did the small circle and it took about 2.5 hours. We did a bunch of stopping for pictures and videos. Amazing natural beauty. We loved it!
Hiking shoes can be a help in some areas where there is mud or in the stream. We wish we had brought our hiking poles also. But overall, it was not too hard or too muddy.Written 20 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Nika FárikováTrencin, Slovakia14 contributionsNice rest after hiking. You can buy a soup there or anything else. There is a beautiful view at the city, lake and shields.Written 17 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- scoutdocco126 contributionsWe started from train stop Popradské pleso and walked 4 km on asphalt route to Popradsé pleso lake. The real hike begins from there. This pace is not so popular, as the Rysy peak in nearby, but I recommend it, it's a long light walk, only the end is steep. Beautyful natureal sceneries and fantastic panorama. High Tatra mountais, as we love them.Written 25 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BleaklowSheffield, UK63 contributionsAn excellent ski resort with two long red/blue runs, a worthy black run and a decent learner slope. Lifts good quality with the main one being six seater with heated seats. Has adequate options for food on the slopes too.Written 22 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ingunn LOslo, Norway34 contributionsI took the skilift up to Solisko at 1810m. I climbed up the steep hill with nice stone steps to help and arrived at the cross at the top of the hill at 2117m. Wonderful view! It took me 45 min from 1810 m to 2117 m higher up.
Then I walked down all the way to Strbske Pleso. A nice walk, tough on the tigh muscles!Written 2 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - endrju_74Ipswich, UK4,851 contributionsApparently it all has started as a private project, when in 1870 Józef Szalaj, owner of Szczawnica, started construction of a road right on east bank of river Dunajec. He's done a small part from Szczawnica (Grajcarek stream) to the Lesnica stream, and the rest of it was built by Academy of Learning from Krakow. Only the northern beginning is in Poland, the rest of it - the very most of it was built in, what was then Hungary, now it is Slovakia. But still - whole project was designed, paid and built with Polish money and labour, so I think it is important to give Polish name of this place: Droga Pienińska, as the name in the title of this TripAdvisr attraction is in Slovak. Road follows Dunajec river from Szczawnica to Czerwony Klasztor (Cerveny klastor), and can be used as a retourn trip after rafting on Dunajec, but only for those, who rafted with Slovakian entrepreneurs, as Polish rafting trail is much longer. Also it can be combined with much more tiring trip across Pieniny ridge, from Czerwony Klasztor to Leśnica (the village), and then down the stream to the starting point. Superb views of surrounding mountains with rock walls, but watched in own pace, with no rush of the speed of the river current, when you rafting. Only problem for us was overcrowding and mix of pedestrians and cyclists, which lead to some dangerouos situations, but luckily nothing has ever happened.Written 28 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Peter PBratislava, Slovakia31 contributionsI can recommend trip from Stefanova to Velky Rozsutec and back via Janosikove diery to Terchová. Amazing. You need two cars. Public transport is horrible.Written 9 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mojmir BBratislava, Slovakia473 contributionsWe took a tour through these two walleys as a quite large group (7 adults and 6 kids) and I am pretty sure that everyone of us was impressed and enjoyed beauties of this nature’s masterpiece, although we walked around 5 hours.
We started in Prosiek and finished in Kvačany which is around 15 kilometers long route (some part of the tour are more challenging your physical condition....), however we didn’t know how we consumed the kilometers.
Breathtaking straits, waterfalls and views supplemented with a museum of water mills is something which does not leave you bored during the whole tour.
In my opinion it is a must when you visit Liptov region.Written 2 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - LJC4 contributionsDid this route with our 8 year old with climbing experience.
