We had a great experience and so much fun with wonderful photos. The staff was kind, friendly and very helpful. I recommend it.

I came here last month having seen it on google maps whilst searching for things to do close to my hotel. There are guided tours every hour. There was a tour half an hour after I arrived, so I purchased a ticket (they take card payments, but I’m not sure if they take cash) and sat down and waited for the tour commence (there were seats you could sit on while you waited). The tour lasts an hour, and begins with a short video presentation on the history of the hospital and the background, which was very useful as I didn’t know much about the history of Hungary when it comes to conflicts. It can get a bit cool underground, as you go deeper into the rocks, so a light jacket or fleece or something is recommended, even on a hot day like the day I visited. If you don’t have one, they offer you a coat/cloak that would have been worn by staff at the hospital when it was active. The guided tour lasts an hour. The guide was very informative, and I found the tour very interesting. Scenes were set up using dummies so that we could see how the hospital would have looked when it was operational. There were a lot of tools that were used when the hospital was operational available to view in cabinets and drawers too. Definitely worth a visit if you have an hour to spare. Very close to the Mercure Castle Hill hotel (through the park opposite the hotel, and up the steps).

We enjoyed it very much! Nice, long and slow ride for 1400ft (both ways price). Birds singing, trees around and the best view you can get after climbing 100 steps.

I’m not sure I can say enough good things about what an awesome experience this was. We did this tour on a Tuesday the day after we toured the nearby cave (for which you can also purchase a joint ticket). There are audio tours available so make sure you request one when you arrive. I am the only English speaker in a Hungarian speaking family and although we forgot to get the audio tour the guide (learn from me!) maybe you’ll be lucky enough to get our guide who conducted the tour in both Hungarian and English seamlessly crowd sourcing one or two words and always called the children of the group to the front to be able to see the formation he was discussing. The tour was a good 90 minutes but it was a very large group. There is a bit of a climb on damp metal stairs (7 stories tall) and definitely not for the claustrophobic. The cave formations were impressive and lovely and it’s mind blowing to think this is all steps from a busy city. Pack a sweatshirt and wear good walking shoes and take lots of pictures. Also be ready with your dinner requests for the legend of the witches kitchen ;)

It’s almost 1,5km tunnel with nothing to see. The statues are not good at all. There is a whole part of the labyrinth that’s in complete darkness. Not for claustrophobics AND not for people with any kind of respiratory problems. I have a mild form I asthma and I couldn’t breath in there! It’s full of humidity and mold! This place is not being well taken care of. I was running trying to get out and get some fresh air.

Went to kill time before a flight, located close to fisherman’s bastion, very steep staircase into the labyrinth (not suitable for everyone)

Large Catacomb layout, eerily lighted randomly throughout so there’s random patches of lit path and sheer darkness, ALSO ceiling height changes throughout.

The random Mannequins and statues have no context and appear all in all - Creepy and strange.

What was more eery is the lone staff member frogmarching the stone halls eyeballing visitors and not uttering a word, it’s definitely not an act - but added to uncomfortable visit we experienced…

Blown away by what an amazing experience this was. We did the Secret Subway rooms and it was exceptional. Have done a few escape rooms between London and Budapest but this was far and away the best I’ve done. Puzzles were diverse, vibrant and very immersive - far beyond the usual padlocks and ciphers that some places rely on.

Won’t share to much as don’t want to spoil but the rooms themselves were incredible spaces with some amazing features that must have taken an unbelievable amount of work. All flowed smoothly, the staff (especially Anna) were absolutely lovely and provided just the right amount of helpful hints. You could tell they were really invested in what they created and it really showed.

Unforgettable really. Could not recommend more to anyone looking for an escape room experience in Budapest. The only downside is we are now working out how we are going to find time to come back again this trip!!!

  • Our Segway experience was unbelievable. Our guide HAFA was amazing. This was our first ride on Segway and Hafa made sure we got enough practice before starting our actual ride. It was simply superb, we took 2hr ride which includes Parliament, others and Margaret Island. We recommended to go for it without any doubt.

Fantastic experience and very accommodating, awesome guys and even better banter. We also got to see some history on some guns used back in the day. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to experience shooting some guns and would highly recommend booking directly as you will be a much better deal. Pete is the Man! Thank you from Willy Wonka and his Umpa Lumpa’s
