Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Mrs BCambridge, UK381 contributionsStrolled along the Danube in Budapest. It is far wider than I expected and is well used by river traffic. There is access down to the pebbled shores in some areas.Written 6 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jessypjSwindon, UK81 contributionsWe loved spending a morning here . Great place to visit if you are short on money. The musical water fountain was a nice surprise! Island would have five stars if it had better and bigger cafes . Be aware you have to pay to use the toilet !Written 5 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Caroline SColchester, UK28 contributionsBudapest Zoo is well worth a visit. We went on a really hot afternoon and sweltered a bit but still had an enjoyable time. If you can go when slightly cooler, I'd recommend that.
The zoo is zoned by country and habitat and there is so much to see and do. The signs are in English too.
The price for a family was about £20, we can't get to our local zoo for less than £95 as a family of 4.
We enjoyed the exhibition in the Great Rock. Some of the animals were hard to spot as they were looking for shade!Written 2 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Kids enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools for them. We enjoyed the massage jets and the wave pool. Loved all the trees and green space. Very much appreciated the lockers. Reasonable price.Written 24 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- kimlovesjawsEssex, UK1,055 contributionsThis was not to easy to find as it is in a shopping centre but nice to visit.
There was a cloakroom available for a small fee.
Nice variety of animals to see and informative signs to read.
Great place to visit for all agesWritten 5 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Adam GWorld2 contributionsA proper caving trip! Read the clear guidance on the website as this is an accurate reflection of the trip. Some big walking passage, some hands and knees crawling, the occasional ‘on your tummy’, a ladder, and a bit of up and down climbing. Don’t book if you don’t like tight spaces or if you’re unfit. I was perhaps fortunate that I was with a great group that were up for the challenge.
The guide was knowledgeable and engaging, and was always in the right place to manage everyone’s safety at the points that required it. His English was great, despite often apologizing for it. The kit provided was good quality and my trail shoes were fine for this unusually dry cave.
Definitely do book on this trip if you’re up for an unusual adventure, and it’s also a great way to avoid the heat for a few hours.Written 3 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Elizabeth fortress is highly recommend, either stepping around 550 stairs or through the main trail. - TheLynamsLondon, UK67 contributionsWe walked / got a bus from the centre of Budapest as part of a half term break this February with children. It really is out of town but worth the trip. There were only 6 of us on the 13:00n tour (4 in my family!) and 2 others. Although it seems to be run by volunteers, the man running the cafe and the woman running the tour were superb and very friendly and knowledgable. It's not really touristy but that is part of its charm. The tour was 45 mins and we learned a lot - it was suitable for all ages. Highly recommended.Written 26 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- gv0410Modiin, Israel113 contributionsGellert hill is the place to go for a chilled evening and to enjoy the sunrise or sunset (apparently sunrise is the most impressive but it’s early !)Written 20 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheShisTel Aviv, Israel35,606 contributionsThis memorial park pays tribute to Raoul Wallenberg, a Righteous Among the Nations.
It is located at the back side of the Great synagogue and features a haunting weeping willow sculpture with the last names of Jewish victims.

Very easy to get everywhere by bus.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - rayraysworldWarwick, UK1,832 contributionsT'was a cold day when we visited the island. On a hot day, the whole experience would have been entirely different. There's not a lot to do on a cold day so we felt the island really needed this. A welcome distraction from a fairly dull walk.
Horses, many species of ducks, birds sitting on nests and some of the biggest bunnies you will see.
Not a large sized attraction, but pretty good. We liked it.Written 16 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
