Amazing- like a portal into the 80s. So many different machines! We thought it could get boring doing the same thing but they had so many other games aside from pinball (we spent 5 hours down there without even realising). Also great as they displayed information about the dates and creators of the machines.

I came here last month having seen it on google maps whilst searching for things to do close to my hotel. There are guided tours every hour. There was a tour half an hour after I arrived, so I purchased a ticket (they take card payments, but I’m not sure if they take cash) and sat down and waited for the tour commence (there were seats you could sit on while you waited). The tour lasts an hour, and begins with a short video presentation on the history of the hospital and the background, which was very useful as I didn’t know much about the history of Hungary when it comes to conflicts. It can get a bit cool underground, as you go deeper into the rocks, so a light jacket or fleece or something is recommended, even on a hot day like the day I visited. If you don’t have one, they offer you a coat/cloak that would have been worn by staff at the hospital when it was active. The guided tour lasts an hour. The guide was very informative, and I found the tour very interesting. Scenes were set up using dummies so that we could see how the hospital would have looked when it was operational. There were a lot of tools that were used when the hospital was operational available to view in cabinets and drawers too. Definitely worth a visit if you have an hour to spare. Very close to the Mercure Castle Hill hotel (through the park opposite the hotel, and up the steps).

Nice traditional bulding, an interesting tour with fancy chocolates. We came with a gift coupon, took part with a group of 15-20 people. It was wholesome. Recommended!

This is a very nice place to see the history of aviation in Hungary. All of the vintage aircraft are Soviet era Ilyushin and Tupelov models and some are open to tour the insides. They also have a selection of vintage Lada cars and other tarmac vehicles. If you’re an aircraft buff, this is a nice way to spend an afternoon, you can get there via public transport from downtown Budapest and it is a relatively short walk from the airport. There is an admission charge for visitors.

Once you locate and enter the memorial, you realise how quiet it is. Despite being close to busy roads and restaurants, there is peaceful feel to the place. The information throughout is translated from Hungarian into English, and you can use your smartphone for additional audio guides (if you have QR code and Internet enabled). It's a harrowing place to visit, but important in history. The synagogue situated in the building is spectacular.

A short walk along the hillside and this wonderful building appears... And it is very popular, so many people taking photos. Plus, it offers wonderful views to the river and across it...

It’s a very good Art Museum - not great. If you like religious themes, you’ll love it as that seems to be the emphasis. We went for the Bosch exhibit which was also very good - not great. We walked here from the city center in about an hour. Kind of confusing to track rooms you’ve visited, but after a while, the art seemed all the same to me. Next to Heroes Plaza added to trip worthiness.

    We had an amazing time.
We did not know it was cash only, and we were short two euros. Lucky they were extremely accommodating and allowed us to come in regardless.
The magic show was very fun and interactive.
We did the tour afterwards and it was very informative. The best part was that you could see artifacts of his like handcuffs and prop pieces from movies and such.
    Definitely a great experience.

You can reach Memento Park by public transit although it will take a while. It is worth visiting for a “Back to the USSR” experience. The entry for adults is 1800 HUF and you could probably tour all of the Soviet-era statues in about 30 minutes. There is also a small museum outbuilding with an exhibit of material on the fall of Soviet dominance. That exhibit is in a dark area and needs better lighting.

Nice gallery with cool sculptures, kind staff, free. Pictures were allowed as well. Worth a visit even if you only spend 15 minutes there

It is a huge and impressive building. A lot of historic monuments and findings. So be aware that it will take a long time to walk around all of it. Down sides were that the toilet facilities were a bit outdated.

Had a day I Budapest after a Danube River cruise/bike tour. Booked the English tour. Brigitte was our tour guide. She was really great and made sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend this tour and museum visit. I liked the history in the museum as well as the vast mini bottle collection

We enjoyed our visit and would recommend if you are in the area. Accessible by public transport (2/3 mins walk from the local tram stop). It cost 3000 HUF for entry, which we think was a good price.

We spent about 1.5 hrs here; you can walk around the exhibits at your leisure. Very interesting subject matter about WW2 and the Soviet Union.

You are not allowed to take any photos on your visit, which was disappointing. You will also be unable to take any food or drinks in.

It is not very large so doable and you will see and learn. I was amazed that some swords were out to see/touch.
