Lovely experience and great value for money. Everyone was really nice and the wine and charcuterie was so good!

We love interacting with a local guide. We received great historical and cultural insight and felt comfortable asking questions. We received a taste of lots of Hungarian foods. (Maybe leaning a bit heavier on sweets than savory.) Great value. Our guide also helped us with the bus system.

This was the most fulfilling activity we had at Budapest. Nora is a great guide, she told us about the history of Hungary, Budapest and especially about the food culture. Tour was very well planned, in addition to the food stops we had, we also visited the market to see the ingredients. We had a tour in the city center also, listening stories from Nora (about the bar culture, Hungarian football, Jewish life and many more). We have tasted Fasirt (meatball), Zsiros Kenyer (open sandvich), goulash, langosh, charcuterie meats, lecso, szatrapcska and some more and also the deserts and also the wines and unicom & palinka and more. Its not be missed.

A really relaxed walk around Budapest with a very knowledgeable host trying out lost of tasty and different local food specialties, highly recommended. Now converted to Hungarian food! Just 4 plus the guide on our tour, so no distancing issues.

We did this tour on our second day and were introduced to so many things! Nora took us everywhere! We had so much food that we couldn't even eat it all! New places, new drinks, new food intertwined with history! We loved it!

Wonderful tour of the Great Market Hall in Budapest. We just had three groups take this tour in March and each of the tours was just fantastic. Kata was very knowledgeable about Hungarian cuisine and history. The stops for tastings were very well chosen -- such a wide variety of foods and such large tasting samples!

    Strongly recommend this tour!!!

We arrived in Budapest a couple of days before our river cruise ship would pick us up and so we had some time to book a walking food tour of Budapest. Daniel of Budapest Urban Walks arranged to have Andrew give us a couple hours introducing us to Hungarian wines and foods. Andrew gave an excellent tour and he was clearly knowledgeable about the local food scene. I'm not much of a wine drinker but I did appreciate the wine tasting we had at a local restaurant; we tasted three Hungarian wines (I really like the Tokaj wine). As an additional treat (although time was limited), this particular restaurant had a nice little museum in the basement! We tried the street food "langos" which we saw many folks eating as they were walking about. Finally, we had a sampler lunch at a restaurant which had excellent food; my favorite was this cold fruit soup which was absolutely delicious! By the end of this experience, we were stuffed! So make sure to properly time this tour (keep this in mind if you have already planned for a big lunch or dinner). Overall, I would highly recommend Budapest Urban Walks. Their tour guides are so friendly, caring and helpful. They are quite knowledgeable about their city and its history and they are clearly proud to be part of it!
