A wonderful and personalized experience. My wife and my two girls (7 and 9) loved our time with Easy Cooking. The tour of the historic market hall to get ingredients and learn more about Hungarian food and was fun and enlightening! I now want all pork products I can find from mangalica pigs. And the hands on and patient cooking class was a true treat. The food turned out great and was delicious (thanks to careful instruction :). They included my girls in the cooking as much as my wife and me, which turned the whole experience into something even more special. And I definitely appreciated how they altered the menu to let me learn more about cooking kapuzsta, something I remember smelling throughout the house every time I visited my grandmother. Highly recommend and I look forward to another session when we visit Budapest again

This was one of the best experiences we had during our visit to Budapest, I will strongly recommend. We have tasted 8 wines during the event. Two different plates of cheese and cold meat deli were served, one for white wines and one for red wines. Both the drinks and eats were selected carefully, they were very delicious. Our sommelier Christian was very informative, joyful and conversation starting. The atmosphere was great too, I guess it help all attendees to get in the mood also, we had great conversation as a group too.

With minimal time in Hungary but a love of cooking I was really surprised when I was offered the option for the market tour and Hungarian cooking class without any other attendees booked!
Vesna was an absolute delight with an introduction to the market hall and then in the kitchen.
The recipes were easy to follow and I learnt a couple of new techniques in this relaxed environment!
Loved the experience and would highly recommend.

Marti is a gem, she helped us make a wonderful meal, at the same time explaining what life is like for Hungarians. Their was laughter, learning and food all through the night. Best night for anyone looking for great food and to hear from real Hungarians.

The guide was amazing, explained and taught the whole process. At the end of the preparation we ate and really enjoyed the experience. It can be reached by a green metro to the last stop and from there on foot in 10 minutes.

My mother-in-law and I joined Marti for her strudel making class and absolutely loved it! Marti explained every step of the process and allowed us to have a hands on experience learning how to make the dough and fillings. Her cooking space was beautiful and she had all kids of treats for us to snack on and local wine to try. She was a lovely teacher and overall we would highly recommend taking this class or any of her other ones. I will absolutely be back to try another! Thank you again, Marti for such a memorable afternoon!

If it was possible to leave 10 stars, I would definitely do so! The class was all that I hoped for and more! Marti is incredibly knowledgeable and kind with a great background in both baking and Hungarian food. She described the techniques so well, explained the process clearly, and could help me understand the various different ways a recipe could be used. She is a great storyteller as well and made me feel right at home. The food was wonderful and the next time I am in town I will certainly be booking another class! If you are at all interested in classic Hungarian baking or just a fun way to spend some time in Budapest and learn more about the food- this is the teacher for you!

It was a perfect hands on experience. Marti made the cooking a real joy with terrific guidance throughout the lesson. We even ate what we cooked and it was delicious. On our next trip to Budapest we will take another class with Marti.

We had a very chilled out time learning to make langos. We had never heard of them before but they were delicious! Our host was laid back and very welcoming but also very informative. Had a great time and would recommend as it was great to do something a bit different. The spa was booked for us with ease too, which was great!

Not a good experience! I booked this well in advance as a gift. Covid numbers had been a problem but the graph clearly shows that covid numbers have drastically declined for weeks. The host cancelled the afternoon before our class. Impossible to rebook somewhere else because of late notice and they said it was due to sanitation. I do not recommend and seriously disappointed in how this was handled.

Our experience with Marti was wonderful on all fronts. We shared a day of learning, indulgence and spoiling. From the informative Market Tour - tasting and exploring the local produce. To the fun cooking in Marti’s superb homely Kitchen. Our menu was delicious. We would highly recommend Marti’s experiences. Thank you Marti you are a gem. We loved every minute. Hope we return again some day.

What a fun experience! We booked this activity with friends and family at five different locations. Nelli has sent us the shopping list in advance so we could join on zoom well prepared. She guided us step-by-step through a fun cooking process, while talking with us about life in Hungary, history, culture, traditions and food & drinks. And the dish we cooked was just exquisite. Thank you Nelli, we will be back for other classes too.

We were looking for something different and this was perfect. We went to a private apartment where we met Viki who was to be our teacher and hostess for the evening. She was delightful. It was just the three of us and we helped make a four course meal of a dip with bread, goulash, lechton(a traditional pepper, tomato dish) and bread pudding. We had wine paired with each. The food was delicious. While cooking Viki gave us historical information about the food of Budapest. We left feeling like we had made a new friend.
