The club itself is really cool, loads of different rooms, karaoke, cheesy music and so on. Really different from the UK. Even the bouncers on this occasion were reasonably friendly. Asked for covid passes, etc. The atmosphere is not very friendly though. A lot of pushing and shoving, quite aggressive behaviour. Also singing a Hungarian song about Africa and gorillas, which came across as quite racist (I could be wrong) As the night wore on, we (as tourists) felt less welcome by the locals and the staff (especially when we requested English songs on karaoke...they kept ignoring us), including one quite arsey barmaid who got really huffy when I accidentally spilled a bit of drink her (I've worked in a bar, it's annoying but it happens) and she was cleaning up her arm and in her hair, and looked quite put out when I suggested that it was only a little bit...i then asked for a coke, she stroppily poured me a rum and coke...I kept repeating "coke please....coke please"...when it had become clear she made an error, she threw the glass in the sink and slammed a can of coke on the bar. Really unnecessary. But hey, if there were a load of drunk Hungarians in my hometown every weekend, maybe I would feel the same.
