Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went on a Monday afternoon. Because Monday is their free day all the tickets were sold out, but I was able to join a tour with an excellent guide named Eva. It was well worth the PLN 50 (about $12.50). The museum should not be missed! You will learn about the war, the occupation of Poland, and the travesty wrought upon the Jew community, which used to comprise 1/4 of the population.

Two other museums very nearby are also worthwhile -- the glass one across the street and the contemporary one next door. The latter featured a large, complex and very interesting exhibit on political art.

I've been in Krakow on business trip last week in October. As always, I done my trip homework using Tripadvisor and it offered me that Pinball Museum among the other things. Long time dream because there are no more pinball machines around in my country and wider. Not seen one in more than 20 years. I've visited it on the second day of my trip, and believe what - I visited it each following day. A great recreation after long sitting working day - and journey to long lost youth. Excellent atmosphere, great choice of the machines . kind and helpful staff, and last but not a least, a good cheep Poland beer.. See you next time!
P.S. Very convenient access by tram line

Brilliant museum. Easy tram ride from the centre or old town. Superb exhibits both early (unique) planes and a plethora of engines. My husband is a plane nut but I was able to be interested for several hours given his informed commentary (and years of practice).

Lots of great illusions. The staff are very kind and friendly. They are always around, explaining different illusions for you and there to take a picture if you like too! Would definitely recommend.

How often do you get to see a stained glass workshop in operation? If you‘ve got any interest in history, art or religion I’d give this a go. It is not expensive or difficult to get to.

We turned up at 12 for a tour of the workshop and museum from one of the workers. It cost the equivalent of £10 each at 50 Zlotys and lasted just over an hour. The group was six people. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging.

We learned about the history of stained glass, of the workshop itself, were taken though the processes used in the workshop and shown commissions and restoration work they were undergoing.

The second party of the tour involves going through a stained glass museum. The pieces were a mix of new work done/acquired by the workshop and some older examples. Our guide was able to explain the meanings behind the art and their (very interesting) histories.

    I really do recommend this.

Very interesting museum. Great for a rainy day. You have to buy tickets at the office on the other side of the cloth hall and not at the museum entrance which is a bit confusing.
I took off a star because the low lighting made it really difficult to read the information boards.
Otherwise allow a good hour or so to spend here.

This place was a fab little find! Free play on dozens and dozens of arcade games. An hour wasn’t enough we definitely could have spent a lot longer. Great atmosphere and lots of fun.

Easy to travel to from Old town only a couple minutes walk from the tram stop.

I was fortunate enough to visit this museum while they had the Home Sweet Home exhibit. This is the story of Richard Ores, told by him, his family, and his photos/videos through the years. He survived the holocaust and became a successful American doctor. This exhibit was very powerful and I had to sit for a minute after i walked through it.
I also then walked through the Traces of Memory exhibit which has done of the most arresting photography I have ever seen. It is a fascinating look at Jewish culture before, during, and after the holocaust. It ends on a lively collection of celebratory and hopeful photographs of the polish Jewish community today.
If you are able to see the home sweet home exhibit while it is there please go. It was one of the best exhibits I've ever seen.

Beautiful and historical place. Enjoyed our time here, however it’s a little smaller then we expected, but also a must see in Kraków.

The violet room (late 19th to early20th century) is a true highlight that in one room shows one of the most iconic examples of the Polish painting, many of which are just breathtaking. The other rooms are a bit less interesting but it might be a matter of personal taste - it seemed to me though that the truly interesting paintings from the violet room would benefit a lot from being exhibited less crammed and with more space around them to allow them to breathe, even if less paintings is shown in the exhibition space overall. In my opinion the works from this one room could have been easily just hung better to fill the whole gallery and it'd be great! See how it's done in the Tates, Guggenheims, etc...
The second major problem is that none of the paintings have any descriptions and there is very little information provided - this is a real disappointment, as there's no good reason for it.
Overall, great paintings but badly curated - someone should really rethink how it's done.
