Nuzzio, our driver, was a love of a man! He gave us interesting tidbits of information on our way up to Cinque Terre, including why the towns were formed, and why thy houses are painted different colors. I love to know these things! Nuzzio even let us use his sunscreen, as I forgot to bring mine. Everything about this tour was terrific, from the weather (hot but sunny) to the boat ride so we could take in the beauty of the area from the sea. And the best thing was the first row terrace table he secured for us in Vernazza. It was fantastic! The food, wine and people watching was magnifico! Vernazza was also our favorite town for shopping. Only downside is there was not enough time! I would have liked another hour to explore the village shops.

A-MAZE-ING!!! Fabian was the best tour guides we have ever had. He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and made our first trip to Cinque Terre a memorable one. You can tell he loves his job and the people he has gotten to know and love over his years of experience. I would highly recommend this tour or any tour he is the guide, you won’t be disappointed!! Loved it!!!

It was an adventurous trip. I had fun climbing up and down the narrow hewn stairs. It was a beautiful day with a nice breeze which made the boat ride enjoyable. I also learned a lot on the history of Italy.

Our guide, Frederica, did a fabulous job of plotting our route by a combination of trains, boats, and walking. Her knowledge of history and the area really allowed us to appreciate what we saw and experienced. She also ensured we were back in La Spezia at the perfect time to catch our train to our next destination.

Our guide, Alejandro (Jorge) Videla was horrible. From the moment he picked us up he had a bad attitude. He required my elderly relative to wear a mask when he himself wasn't wearing one, and never put one on. He said the mask was required because otherwise the police would pull him over and fine him 3000 euro. Everything he commented on during the 2 hours drive to Cinque Terre was either political, a complaint or a political complaint. He began by saying how much he hasted American tourists, so maybe he should not be working in tourism. He then proceeded to make homophobic comments about the Pride flag at the US embassy. He also expressed his support for two communist dictators, one of which destroyed our own country of origin. He also brought up the war in Ukraine for the sole reason of saying the worst thing about it is how it has affected him and especially his gas expenses. He acted like him dropping us off where the tour description specified was a huge favor, which he repeated several times to us. These are just a. few of the comments he made. Cinque Terre was lovely but the drive to and from made the trip very difficult to enjoy.

Nadir was an excellent tour guide with personalized attention. He gave us a fabulous lunch recommendation in Dolceacqua. This company is one of the best I’ve dealt with.
