- louispjparentMontreal, Canada7 contributionsbeautiful beach!
perfect balance (at least, when we went) of waves; fun/safe to swim, perfect for surf beginners (there's a surf school).Written 13 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. a bit windy but beautiful, with trees other than palm trees.
there are even mangroves on the East end.Written 13 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Both are amazing for two totally separate reasons.
We went after the hurricane and most of the beaches were murky. This one was not and that may have been the reason we were the only people there. One other couple was off in the distance and a local, cooking in the entrance.
The peace is immaculate and pristine. Waters are beautiful and calm for the most part. This a mountainous area so you feel very secluded and private as this provides a natural barrier.
The view is amazing. The area we parked at had a couple of huge estates that were built into the mountainside and over hang the edge of the terrain. There is also a smaller land mass that sits in the horizon and adds to the visage.
The thing I love best is it is away from the "tourist" world that most of the Dominican Republic is known for.Written 23 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. very long beach, you can walk for around an hour.
the Restaurant Luis is great; delicious food, seafood is their specialty.
really happy we've seen it, but it was so windy (it's almost always is) that we wouldn't go again (we like swimming and sun bathing).Written 13 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. it's the main beach of Las Terrenas, the city center is on that beach.
depending where you are on the beach, it's at times beautiful and not crowded or beautiful and somewhat crowded or not that beautiful.Written 13 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The beaches in Las Terrenas have beautiful water, soft current, clear water and fine sand. It’s just beautiful! Full of palm trees everywhere to provide enough shade. It’s simply beautiful and worth the drive! Will definitely be back.Written 31 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - edhimalAntwerp318 contributionsGood road surface. Not so much traffic. Breathtaking views as you drive in the direction of Nagua. The mirador just before Las Terrenas smells bad.Written 4 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Talia H1 contributionI had a blast learning bachata with Noeli. There’s a lovely studio space and she even gave me tips on where to find good social dancing parties!Written 28 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laura Ocean N8 contributionsThere is an area for surfing if the waves cooperate but I mostly enjoy the nice walking path all along this pretty beach and all the beachside restaurants and bars.Written 23 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen’sTravelTipsWeehawken, NJ25 contributionsWe were on a trip to the DR to help build a community center. This was the beach outside our resort. After a hard days work, or early in the morning, it's a great place to learn to surf, do yoga on the beach or just play.Written 27 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Regina SLunenburg, MA27 contributionswe walked for hours around the beaches and they are just beautiful. There are no chairs at all, and if you happen to find one, they will charge you to seat there.Written 15 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peregrination_LoverHarleysville, PA126 contributionsThis small little plaza actually houses a library!!! It is on the second floor just under the pharmacy. The people in the pharmacy are very helpful and speak english, so if you need anything this is your place. Clothing, jewlery and pizza can also be found here. You also have a place you can book 4wheeler tours, boat trips and even zip line fun. there is a great little French owned restaurant just on the corner that serves wonder 3 course meals for a set price. It was SIMPLE. but GREAT! The jewlery shop has a sister shop a few blocks away that is a higher artistic level than the shop in this mall, but this shop here is still very nice.Written 11 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mariaalejo1 contributionMy daughter and I had a great experience with the whole team at Rancho Playa. It was a beautiful ride through the jungle to the beautiful deserted beaches! Our guide gave us a tour and showed us all the beautiful cocoa, coffee, basil, mint, banana, etc trees. Stunning. Would certainly recommend if you are in the Terrenas area. Look forward to returning.Written 1 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
