This park is located on the shore of the sea bay. It is not big, but it is very cozy. There are a lot of greenery, interesting original sculptures, attractions. It's very good to walk and meditate.

To visit this place, you need to travel 56 km/35 miles by train (55 minutes, just 158 rubles) from St Petersburg and walk 25 minutes. It is hard to get confirmation on opening days and hours, because they do not answer the phone. So you take a gamble with the trip.
In the one room, there are some 30 cars and military vehicles, plus a dozen two-wheelers. Definitely not all Russian brands are represented here (plus some German and American ones), the exhibits are in average to bad state, there is only explanation in Russian. The staff speaks no English either. Some of the ceiling lights were broken, so part of the cars were in the dark.
Having said that, you do get the feeling you're seeing something special because not many people will actually go here. I'm glad I took the plunge.

His name will hardly say anything to a foreigner but practically every Russian knows him for the roles he played in immensely popular Soviet films. Yes, he was born in this town though at that time its name was Terijoki (communists renamed it in 1948). In Finnish it meant "a tar river", in Russian it does "a town of green hills".
This small monument faces a mammoth statue of Vladimir Lenin across the street. People's darling Vitsin welcomes him by lifting his hat. Communist leader threatens him with his fist in return (my interpretation). But who is scared of the guy today?

This is the great Russian Orthodox temple. Territory planted trees and shrubs, well-groomed - landscape design. So quiet and peaceful! it's perfect place for a walk.

There are a lot of such small sights in the city center. It is Fountain the Girl Ude With Fish, bench Taksa, Monument to the Actor Georgiy Vitsin, Dragonfly and Ant, Bread and etc. There are many similar sculptures in the Central Park and benefit from attention. They are the same as simple, nice and charming as Zelenogorsk itself.

There are many original sculptures. This is one of them. Please, pull over. Bow your head in gratitude to the bread.

Because he is black! Huge, menacing and black. Like thousands and thousands of idols still scattered throughout Russia.
There's a nice building behind. It's not a municipality or local KGB headquarters but a gymnasium. If the guy were removed (high time!) the view would be much more attractive.
And no-one would be threatened by this present-day nowhere man.
